I remember around 2000, something happened during Raw that made CRZ end his recap with something like "Fuck this, I'm done" or something along those lines.
I can't remember what happened or when it was. Does anyone recall this? I'd like to go back and re-read it.
I believe it was when Bischoff came out on RAW. Was it regarding this thread? If so, a search of the recaps around that time indicate it was Bischoff, but it looks like the recap was altered from what I remember.

"As you may have read in Robert Parker's Wine Newsletter, 'Donaghy Estates tastes like the urine of Satan, after a hefty portion of asparagus.'" Jack Donaghy, 30 Rock

Thanks.
When Bischoff debuted on RAW, I didn't put the recap up for a week and made everybody spazz out - is that what you're thinking of?
I went back and checked and I did the "cutting the recap short" gimmick twice, but both times it was for Nitro:

One of my most read RAW recaps and my best guess for the one you're looking for is this gem...

Just my opinion and no offense, but I think you may have been over-estimating the importance of part-time, unpaid freelance IWC writers in the overall grand scheme of the professional wrestling business -- just a little bit.

Watch out now - you act like I did that EVERY week. I like to think I was a lot better at picking my spots...especially given that that was a WWF report.
Generally, I wholeheartedly agree that I had probably had a total impact hovering right around null when it came to the product, but let me turn this into doublespeak and note in my own defense that back in 1999, there WERE a lot of people who - rightly or wrongly - thought most of the WrestleManiacs crew had opinions worth noticing. Granted, most of those people were gullible idiots (not the least of which were the guys running SportsLine USA), but still...it wasn't NOTHING. (It was close. )
Pretty interesting article, and pretty balanced as well. Save for some Ed Leslie comments, of course. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/02/21/AR2010022103981.html
