It's already 3:30 in the morning, so short stuff tonight.

I went and saw the 10:00 showing of No Country for Old Men; I suspect Impact will not compare favorably.

LAX vs. Black Reign and Rellik: These guys did NOT mesh well -- wow -- this was pretty bad. I gotta blame LAX, 'cause Dustin Rhodes is a VETERAN. Rellik gets pinned AGAIN -- he's 4 and 0 since his debut! At this point it's getting funny. I mean, they can't possibly be that intent on protecting Rhodes, so there must be some other master plan at work.

The ROCK 'N' RAVE INFECTION run in to beat down LAX -- The Mystery Latino AGAIN slapjacks Christy Hemme. That's three times in a row now, Hemme -- try facing the OTHER DIRECTION.

The longer The Mystery Latino stays out here, the harder it is for me to overlook the fact that The Mystery Latino has um bosoms.

Gail Kim vs. Zeruel's Liquored-Up Cougar Girlfriend: The crowd is rabid for ODB, even over Kim -- I do have to wonder if this is "ironic," like Hoytamania. Kim sells her injuries on the way to the ring, switching hands in order to hold her title belt up. Kim is game but too hurt, plus ODB clocks her with the hip flask and gets the non-title win.

After the match, Awesome Kong comes out and ODB bails. Pull art brawl involving Black Shirt Security; Angelina Love and Velvet Sky rescue Kim.

After witnessing dissension among XXX, Matt Morgan makes a match between Senshi and Christopher Daniels for the Briefcase, with Elix Skipper as special referee. Crystal is not sure that Morgan is not overstepping his authority.

Senshi vs. Christopher Daniels: Eh. Senshi had some nice kicks, and I'm glad that was willing to do one final match on his way out. Daniels wins after pulling Skipper in front of him and then hitting Angel's Wings; Skipper counts the pin reluctantly.

BG James is here to pick up his case from Morgan; BG and Kip argue while Roxxi tries to discern the contents of the case with her mental powers.

Petey Williams picks up his case. He's working a bodybuilder gimmick and refers to himself as the "Maple Leaf Muscle." He is, in fact, friggin' jacked. He is also just slightly shorter than Crystal.

Robert Roode and Christian Cage join the Angle Alliance, under the condition that Cage is wholly in charge. AJ is so happy! Tomko is dubious.

Samoa Joe comes out followed by Eric Young, Booker T, Kaz, and Kevin Nash; he challenges the AA to a 10-man tag match.

Scott Steiner picks up his case. Crystal is not sure that Morgan has done a good job keeping an eye on the cases.

Team 3Devine vs. The Motor City Machine Guns and Black Machismo: This is a ladder match with the X Division belt -- but not the title -- at stake. Some fun ladder shenanigans, but, really, possibly the most inconsequential ladder match of all time. 3D cheats to keep the stolen belt.

There's some sit-down stuff with Mike Tenay and James Mitchell. Mitchell is back to calling Abyss "Chris" and talking about how he shot his dad and whatever; I skip past it.

Jim Cornette is peeved at Morgan and sends him to re-collect the briefcases. We won't get to open them 'til next week.

Kevin Nash, Samoa Joe, Booker T, Kaz, and Eric Young vs. Christian Cage, Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Tomko, and Robert Roode: Whew. This had some pretty good stuff, including a segment where Kevin Nash was gonna dive to the outside and then made a "Yeah, riiight" face. I liked the spot where AJ ran in for the save and then celebrated, and Kaz immediately slingshotted in and DDTd him. I also enjoyed Joe's crazy face-up suicide dive over the top rope. Nash pins Roode with the Jackknife.

After the match Angle and Roode (who thinks Cage hit him with a chair during the match) gang up on Cage for a beatdown. Styles desperately tries to keep them from hurting his old boss; Tomko looks dubious and finally just walks off. Is Cage going to go face?

Pretty good main event. Rest was okay. I am confused about the lack of Scott Hall -- I assumed that the "100% Work" situation at Turning Point would result in a Hall/Joe feud. Perhaps they are saving it for next week!

I'm digging the Kim/Kong angle. Kim is so tiny in comparison, but she's rabid. TNA's simplest and best feud.

Steiner, the wily veteran of televised wrestling, holds up the suitcase, blocking his face and Crystal's. he also barley manages to get his words out right. I kinda hope he gets fired.

It's a shame there's no one in the X Division who can talk against Bubba Ray, because his promos are skewing the angle their way.

They're managing to turn Christian without diluting his arrogance, and that's a nice trick.

Waiter, there's an Eric Young in my main event.

If she turns out to be too much for Zeruel, I'd like to put my claim in for a whirl with ODB.

You'd think someone would see the response the Kim/Kong/ODB stuff is getting and try to apply some of those principles elsewhere in the card. But apparently good, meat and potatoes, simple booking can only apply to one angle at a time.

I thought maybe they were going to further the LAX/Hemme thing by having Hoyt or Rave attack the mystery Latino. Then Cornette actually punishes them for male on female action. But nothing so far.

Other than that and still not seeing the contents of the briefcase I really enjoyed this episode.

I did like the segments about the briefcase though, well except for Petey's promo. I like that BG might get a new tag team partner. I've always liked BG, Billy is the one I don't want to see. BG would make a good tag team partner for a younger guy that he can show the ropes to.

ODB getting a win, even though she cheated was good. I also like Angel and Talia as a tag team. They can get wins over the likes of Gail and ODB in tag team action, but lose to them in singles and use the excuse that the tag team is better at tagging and the singles is better at singles wrestling.

Screwy finish in the Ladder Match is fine, after all MCMG has won against Team 3D for at least three matches in a row haven't they?

I loved all the Christian/Angle stuff, even though you could see a turn a mile away, every guy played their part perfectly. I continue to love Tomko has he just walks off leaving the other four guys fighting.

Good main event, which has been the norm for 2 hour Impacts, too bad they can't do that for PPVs. Loved the Nash faking a dive.

I'm starting to think they are going to turn Christian, they sure are trying to make him sympathetic. Maybe they'll turn AJ WITH Christian instead of against Christian like we always thought?

I wonder how long EY will be in the main event. My understanding is they chose him as Hall's replacement simply because he was a face and wasn't tired. This week I understand putting him in the 10 man (although I would've let Kaz wrestle more and EY less) but he's not staying in the main event is he?

I think turning Christian is a mistake, as he is much, much more effective as a heel. Plus, I want to see AJ turn on him. However, I am still not sure this is the way they are going with this angle, as Cage was very heelish in his (great) promo. I actually like that I don't know where it is going, but I hope it's not Christian as a face.

I am liking how guys like Roode, Young, and Kaz are still getting decent pushes, and weren't just buried after the PPV.

Unlike some people, I don't mind having established guys from WWE in TNA, but I prefer them in story lines involving TNA guys, not with other "WWE guys". I have no desire to see an Angle-Cage main event title match.

While the crowd did seem to be behind Christian/AJ there at the very end, I just can't see turning Christian face. The only potential faces out of this whole scenario are Tomko and AJ, who finally just get tired of being pulled back and forth by their evil bosses. Actually, the idea of it leading to Styles/Tomko v. Christian/Angle isn't that unappealing. A.J.'s been great in his current role, but I'd love him as a dopey main event singles with Tomko as HIS problem solver who keeps him out of trouble.

I don't really care where Robert Roode falls. My only interest in him is that he gets out of the way so I can see Miss Brooks.

I don't understand why all the main eventers always have to be aligned with the other main eventers. First Jarrett and now Angle. Also all the heels in this group are best left as heels so turning any of them seems counter productive except for a one shot PPV cycle.

I always try to give TNA a chance and I always feel like I am almost watching a wrestling spoof show and not a wrestling show. Everything is slightly over the top cheesy. It always feels Bucsh League and the matches are so hacked up by commercials that you can never get into a flow.

I guess that there is always next week.

I'm a sad panda. I don't get my ODB fix as I was watching the Bears/Skins game and planned to watch the replay. No replay today, as there is a TUF marathon today...
