CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Linda Hogan has filed for divorce from her wrestler husband Hulk Hogan, a newspaper reported Friday.
Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, told the St. Petersburg Times that he had no idea his wife had filed for divorce. He was informed by a reporter that Pinellas County court records showed that the paperwork was submitted Tuesday.
and
"My wife has been in California for about three weeks. ... Holy smokes," Bollea later told the newspaper. "Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me."
well, we'll soon see the Hulkster back in the ring - gotta pay for that thing. Jericho jobs to the Hulkamania soon!
Bad couple of months for the Hulkster. Just sign the papers and give her half now, rather than spending money on lawyers fees, having all your dirty laundry hung in public, and still having to give up half anyway.
On the upside, the kids are grown up and this shouldn't effect them too much.
On the downside, between Nick getting into drag races and turning his passenger into a vegetable, Brooke's career going nowhere, and Linda filing for divorce, I'm guessing this means no more new episodes of "Hogan Knows Best". Damn.
"Wocka Wocka...who wants to hear a funny-ass joke?"
Part of me hopes they reconcile because for some reason, there's something very warm and fuzzy and familiar about them being together. Hogan being married is a part of my childhood memories of Hulkamania. Why, I'm not sure, it just is.
But the other part thinks this is BS and hopes Linda barely gets anything. I'm not sure if it was always the case, but Hogan Knows Best really did a job of making her come off as a golddigger. Especially in regards to the time Hogan voiced some concern to her about him still wrestling and she said something like, "You have to maintain the standard of living I've become accustomed to."
I'm not saying Hogan was a perfect husband or not, but it's crap that she'll again end up with tons of money for doing nothing.

I kinda think this is all a big publicity stunt so that they can possibly get VH1 to keep doing their show. But if it is true, I am totally with Whattaburger. I always thought that the moment Hulk would no longer have any more big money coming in (done wrestling, VH1 show finished), she would pick that moment for the divorce to get her half share seeing that the gravy train had stopped. Also it is a good time for her to go for Hulk's money in case Hulk loses a large portion of it in a huge lawsuit over Nick's crash.
Anyways, wasn't Hulk always complaining that he was rarely getting sex from her and that she treated her animals much better than him.
Usually this would be overly cynical but with it being Hogan, probably not so much. I know nothing of the legalities of this, but with the recent revelation (and video evidence) that Linda herself took part in the illegal street racing that lead to the recent Nick incident could a divorce somehow protect all of their assets if she were to face a lawsuit but was no longer married to multi-millionaire Hulk Hogan?

Exactly what I was thinking when I heard about this.
Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her. Harry: That's a special feeling.
Welcome home, men of the 2nd Bn, 127th Inf, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, WI Army Nat'l Guard! Good luck to those down south.
I'll qualify this by saying I haven't seen that much of "Hogan Knows Best," but...after reading Hulk's book, I can say that at least Linda didn't start out as a golddigger.
If the years of fame and money have made her that way...that's just sad.

She is looking to get PAID.

I hope(should he be found guilty) the son will be living on the dime of the State of Florida for about 5-10 years, so she won't really need much child support for him.

Their lawyer isn't completely wrong when she implies things such asset culpability and how it would potentially protect at least half of the Hogan family assets from a judgement unless they plan on filing a second lawsuit.
That's assuming that she's right, though. God only knows.
Maybe she is bailing out knowing that Hulk Hogan himself bought beer for his son and friends. Sounds like Hogan is going to get the living H*ll sued out of him now.
Perhaps this "divorce" is meant to protect some of their assets in case of a civil suit.

"--Ron Simmons will be selling his injury angle until after Survivor Series so he's not going to be in the elimination match. John Cena will be turning babyface, theoretically with a mega push, for this show.
