Carlito's last appearance on RAW in the near future will be when he figures out how to chase Hornswoggle into the magic hole only to have Hornswoggle come out of it and paint over it, thereby trapping Carlito in a concrete wall somewhere never to be heard from again.

That's the only way it makes... let's call it sense.

You have the nerve to talk about Jericho after seeing The Saggy-est Player in the Game wrestle?? Ric Flair looks AWFUL last night. I felt embarrassed for him.

As much as I love Jericho and his return and his work on & off the mic last night, his "Chasing the champ for a title match but the champ keeps ignoring me" angle works better when a guy really low on the card is doing the chasing. I think this is the angle idea he had that Goldberg shot down in WCW, but it wouldve worked better then because of how huge of a star Goldberg was and how huge Jericho wasnt at the time.

Having a more credible champ helps the chase as well.

Oh boy, Orton bashing. What's a week without some?

How is Randy Orton not credible? Because the Interwebs said he's a dick backstage? Because the Interwebs said he had a temper tantrum and embarrassed the company overseas earlier in the year? It's funny that his employers, the ones most hurt by these things that no one else actually saw and should be the ones taking umbrage at Orton, they release major stars left and right but they seem to think Orton's worth keeping and promoting as the centerpiece of their most important brand. But no, not the smarks. He's not credible.

Meanwhile, when Edge went on the DL last year, Orton became the most effective heel in the company. He reinvented his old character, eliminating his showboat heel mannerisms and added a psychotic, desperate, dangerous edge to his persona. He has had good to great matches with John Cena, Triple H and Shawn Michaels in the last few months. He's been given decisive wins over the latter two and possibly over Cena as well had Cena not gotten injured. They chose Orton over Triple H to carry the WWE title. Orton kicking Cena's father in the head in Boston was one of if not THE mark out heel moment of the year.

But no, Randy Orton's not credible. Why? Because smarks just don't like him.

I'm a smark. I like Randy Orton. He's damn credible to me. (Even with those 5 minute chinlocks. Orton creates built in piss breaks in his matches. I appreciate that.)

Does that come with the cask of Amontillado?

Still a less embarrassing burial than getting pinned by a midget in a 'loser leaves town' match, don't you think?

Next week Jericho should pay tribute to Randy Orton, man of 1,000 holds. "Number 329... Headlock!"

Hey man, chill out. I never mentioned Orton, just the current title reign of a couple months. The way belts fly around a title reign doesn't seem credible until at least 5 or 6 months and that's stretching it for me. It adds to the whole chase aspect. So, it might be cool to talk 'smark', but it's really not what I was getting at.

Because he's not a particularly good worker, he doesn't have much charisma, he's poor on the mic, and while he certainly has muscles and such, he's not big enough to be so imposing that those problems don't matter. (Leaving open the question over whether anyone is.) Most world champions are special in at least one of those categories. What makes Orton special?

Orton is serviceable as champ, and it is better than HHH having the belt. I guess he is the only guy willing to drop the belt against the Game at Mania. Hey kids, let's bash HHH now!

Now that Randy has dropped the douche pose, how about some new music?

I'm all for that - his theme is heli-gay. At least remove the vocals. Remember Kane's them before the vocals were added? Best entrance music on Raw:

1. Jericho
2. Jeff Hardy
3. Santino
4. HBK (although if I were a 'new' fan of the double double E, I'd hate it for it's gayness)
5. Kennedy, Kennedy

And the worst:

1. Orton
2. Snitsky (is it really music?)
3. Mr. Mac-man
4. Rednex
5. Cripple-H

Worst of all time: hmmm...my vote would have to go to Trish Stratus. That squeaky laugh at the beginning made my ears bleed.

Didn't they change Randy's music a year or so ago? Seems like it only lasted for one or two appearances, and if I'm not mistaken, the song is now CM Punk's current theme.

EDIT - The song is "This Fire Burns" by Killswitch Engage and is on the WWE Wreckless Intent album.

I never liked McMahon's "No Chance" music either... it seems a little too metal & modern for the guy. Something like a revamped, heavier version of Sinatra's "My Way" would work better, methinks...

Best song / entrance of all time? Gotta go with the Road Warriors entering the ring to Black Sabath's "Iron Man." I loved that as a kid -- even though I probably had no clue who Ozzy was at the time, other than a fat guy who allegedly got rabies from biting the head off a bat.

Didn't the Steiner Brothers have a ridiculously bad personalized entrance song in the NWA? I vaguely remember lyrics about the vaunted "Steinerline" but perhaps that was just an adolescent hallucination, or something...

I think Randy has really only used the Evolution theme, and got his current lame music around the time he got the belt in 2004.
Favorite theme (current): Santino
Favorite theme (all time): DX, & Undertaker Rock remix
Least favorite (current and all time): WEEEEEEELLLLLLL....WELL IT'S THE BIG SHOW!

Come on now, Triple H's? You guys take your blind hatred of him way, way too seriously.

I definitely agree with you kentish about Santino's theme. It's just awesome. His is by far my favorite currently. All-time though, it's a tie between Bret Hart and Mr. Perfect.

1. Because he won the title the same night he lost in the opening match and then beat a guy who was on his 3rd match of the night.

2. Because his next major challenger pinned him twice on TV leading up to his match and Superkicked him about 7,578 times between matches.

3. Because when he FINALLY pinned Shawn Michaels, the annoucers put over that the only reason why he won was because Michaels couldn't use the Superkick (igoring the No DQ stip for him)...... and then at the end of the match, he got (suprise!) superkicked again.

4. Because 48 hrs ago, he got pinned by a 54 yr old man.

No offence, but Orton isn't exactly being booked as the most dominant champ.....

RAW was pretty damn good this week and (at least on RAWs side of it...) it's making some very odd PPV matches.

HHH/Hardy seems like a strange match to put on a PPV right now. Shouldn't there be another month or two of them teaming together leading to Helmsley turning on him before the big blow off? I don't get it, but it'll probably be match of the night. I'm waiting for Helmsley to give Hardy the win and see how all of you will accuse Helmsley of holding him down... Helmsley's holding HIMSELF down since comming back to RAW!

Jericho/Orton is another that seems out of place just because Jericho just returned. It makes the rest of the roster look inept and worthless if you're just gonna hand over a title match to a guy returning from a two year break, having been 'fired' because he couldn't beat the Champ back then. Another match that really needs some build up.

EDIT: SHIT, how could I forget this. I had missed Smackdown last week, so I hadn't seen the unholy union of Edge and Vickie Gurrerro. We was watching Raw at this dive bar eating Wings (Honey BBQ! Yummy!) and I had a mouth full of chicken and washing it down with a gulp of Fosters, and I just happened to look over at the wrong moment to see Edge grab Vickie and start sucking face... and I lost it. I puked right there at the table.

Talk about seeing something you never EVER want to see in your life while eating.

I don't think I'll ever go to that bar again.
HBK/Kennedy, at least, is getting some build up, but shouldn't it be HBK/Orton? Where's the rematch? Shuffeling HBK off to the midcard seems wrong.

See, I read this and think that the grossest part of the story is that you were actually drinking Fosters.

Fosters beer is Australian for "Nobody here actually drinks this crap."

I agree with DirtyMike, even though I like HBK, if you are going to have Orton as champoin, book him like one.

And BoromirMark, I agree about HHH's music. He has had not one, not two, but three of the best themes ever, IMO.

I'm not a huge fan of Orton, but his music is great. I find myself singing or humming along every time it's played.

Saying the Snitsky has not been pinned on Raw is one of the most annoying things about WWE right now. He has the same name as before; it's not even a real gimmick change.
