Third-worst team in the majors, exactly a decade after they won their first World Series. What the heck happened? Why did my beloved Jays have to be dismantled by the jerk-ass new GM? WHY? PLEASE, GOD, TELL ME!!

Not to mention Kelvim Escobar walked in the winning (and insurance) run yesterday. But it was against my Sox, so I can't complain.

I think the GM knows exactly what he's doing. He worked with the A's, who are by far the best run team in the game. He's rebuilding the team, and that's always painful if you're used to a contender, but sometimes it has to be done. If you look at the A's, first they developed a killer offense with underrated vets like Matt Stairs and young guys like Ben Grieve, but Gil Heredia was their ace pitcher. They were still able to make the wild card like that. Then they brought up Hudson and Zito and became a true force. I see Toronto doing much the same thing. They don't have any pitching at all right now, but they will put together a good offense in the next couple of years, and by the time they're done doing that, the pitchers should be ready.

It's hard to believe that it's been ten years since the World Series win. Time slips by, like sands in an hourglass...

Poor Cubbies...they had a couple good shots...but, alas, didn't do it all.

And as for the B-Jays...two guys are worth watching:
Roy Halladay and Carlos Delgado. That is all.

And everyone'll be able to watch them when they're dealt to the New York Yankees for a couple of iffy prospects and some magic beans!

The major leagues are a farm club for the Yankees. Someone kill Bud Selig now.

I feel for Blue Jays fans. I'm a Tribe Fan, and it is really hard to see the team in the land of mediocrity again. What is the attendance like at Skydome? Attendance is down big time at the Jake, I don't see how Tribe ownership will get $$ to pull the team out of its downward spiral. Just wondering if the Jays are going to be in a similar situation, or if their ownership has deeper pockets.

Carlos Delgado is only worth watching if you like to see someone loafing his way down the base line on ground balls.

I like watching Cruz play, he seems to be giving it his all.

edit---- Seems like Buck is on the clock now... Could be any day that the change occurs...

One word... STRIKE...

If there ends up being a strike (which also goes with my theory of the MLB being out to make sure my Red Sox never win the World Series), Toronto will be finished.

I disagree. Rafi might be back in Texas as a DH/Fill in. I think the Twins could use his hand as well. And if he wants to play 1st, well, I think you could find a few jobs for him - Maybe Washington? I don't think he's ruined.
