What else can I say. Miz was the highlight of the night for me. He had some pretty sick moves tonight....That is just wrong! Wrong! Miz is not allowed to be a highlight!
A close second for the highlight was HBK doing the crossface.
If Edge came out with a chainsaw and cut the cell...Maybe, just maybe, that coulda been my highlight and I wouldn't be so mad right now.
I almost didn't buy this one. It came down to the last minute...the very last minute and I broke down....Now I wish I was saying "I almost bought it....glad I didn't"
Having just read the recaps, I have to inquire if Batista kicked out immediately after either tombstone. If so, that would (sort of) be the first time anyone has legitimately kicked out of the move in Undertaker's history. Kane was tombstoned three times in a row at WM14, and kicked out of the first two but was ultimately beaten on the third. Triple H, as I recall, kicked out after a tombstone at WM17, but that was after Taker made a very slow, delayed cover.
This is one of those silly little historical things that WWE never pays attention to, but I was genuinely curious if anyone would ever legitimately kick out of the tombstone before UT retired.
The tombstone kickout was legitimate. The only delay Undertaker made before covering was to cross the arms for his usual pin. That said, I remember Batista kicking out of a tombstone somewhere else, maybe last month at Cyber Sunday.
With that said, why does Kane kicking out of it twice not count? Yeah, the third one got him. But tonight, after Batista kicked out, Undertaker did a second tombstone on the steel steps, and that had Batista beat were it not for Edge pulling the referee out.
Oh yeah the Shawn Michaels Dearly Departed Tour of his favorite people's submission holds needs to continue, because his sharpshooter is horrible, his anklelock is awesome, and his crippler crossface just makes everyone really uncomfortable.

Over on the F4W boards, somebody hit the nail on the head when they described the crowd's reaction as "Yeeahhhhhwwwwait a second, am I supposed to be cheering for that?"
It may have been crap, but man it's great to have Edge back. To get him and Jericho in the span of two days is the best thing to happen to WWE in a long time.
Did Melina get trashed backstage before the show or something? She was extremely off from the get-go. Watching her botch her own entrance was just weird.
It's seriously time to either give Kane a major overhaul or give him his release. Doing the first job to Viscera and his shitty elbow means the mystique is LONG gone.
So is Finlay turning face? I guess it would make sense if Edge is coming back, but...I don't know...Finlay just doesn't work as a face.
The more I think about it, the more it feels like Vince's ego was on full display. Between getting in Shaq's face for no conceivable reason (seriously, that was just baffling) and the comments he made to Hornswoggle about possibly having to take on the government, there were several points in the show where it just felt like Vince McMahon was just stroking his own ego.

"Wocka Wocka...who wants to hear a funny-ass joke?"
To be fair, he had to do something about the Shaq chants, as the crowd simply was not going to let that go unless something was done. In retrospect they should have just thrown some cash as Shaq and asked him to swing a chair at Khali or something to pop the crowd.
Melina was actually entertaining last night, playing with the screwup, and showing a genuine smile when it happened.
The match was terrible obviously, but I was legitimately surprised when Finlay came out to save Hornswoggle. I guess you just don't mess with a man's leprechaun. I could see Finlay as a face simply because you don't change anything about him except his opponents. He's still a crazy Irish guy who likes to fight, he just fights bad guys now.
I was surprised by Michaels using the crossface, and I think it might not have been the right choice, but I wasn't personally offended. The psychology of the match was awesome I thought. Seeing him pull out every submission hold he could think of (don't forget the aborted Figure-Four), only to lose when he had to hesitate for a split second was a great story I thought.
I heard a few fans trying to start a "welcome back" chant for Edge. Sadly they forgot they're not at an ROH show :)
I know I'm in the minority, but I thought it was a great show. The end reminded me of the HBK/Taker Hell in a Cell when Kane interrupted to squash UT and Michaels get the pin.
The elimination match was great - it was good to see Jeff Hardy at the end standing next to HHH. I don't think he would let just anyone have that role.
Bad camera angle on the superkick - you couldn't even see it live. Not until the replays could you get the full effect.
And I liked MVP's nod to HBK by shooting his gum into the crowd (as Finlay got out of the way) after Kane's uppercut.
Very meh show for me. The only exciting thing on the show was Edge's return, and some people had predicted that anyway just based on him being in the ads for the show. It's hard to say a show with three three-star matches was just average, but that's what happens when (a) you've seen it all before and (b) most of the stuff you've seen for free. Orton vs. Michaels has been done before, though the lure of this match, if you were debating on getting the replay, was the final few minutes. The flurry of action in the last few minutes of his matches has become an HBK signature lately. And how about those submission moves? Certainly surprising, if nothing else.
We've seen Batista vs. Taker before, and despite the Hell in a Cell, we've seen it done better. There's not much allure to the elimination tag match, other than the fact that it was the only "traditional" Survivor Series match. Each man has fought each other before and there were not many fresh match-ups and no scores settled.
The divas tag match was a cluster, as expected. When you get that many girls tagging in and out - many who haven't been thoroughly trained - you're going to get a train wreck, eventually. The tag match was straight out of Raw, though it was about four minutes longer than it would've been given on Monday nights.
The ECW title match was pretty good and the Hornswoggle vs. Khali stuff was pretty bad.

I didn't think Vince was stroking his ego with Shaq. The crowd started with the "we want Shaq" chant and every fan on camera had their attention on him. At one point the crowd popped and I think it was because Shaq stood up like he was going to do something because in the next second the camera cut to Vince. And it looked to me like he was pointing at Shaq and telling him to sit his ass down. Doing so partly as Mr. McMahon and partly as the pissed off promoter Vince.
WHAT WORKED: I kind of liked the AMW vs. Siaki/Apollo match. Some awkward parts in the beginning as Team Mulato wasn’t on the same page as to whether they were delivering double arm drags or double flap jacks.
