THIS should have been the first episode of the season.

Everything was cool with me except for the death of DL. Big, typical Heroes plot hole with how he found Niki in LA and the non-explanation ("You ain't never gettin' rid of me."), followed by the fatal gunshot by the nameless, greasy dude. For whatever reason, he DIDN'T phase when a gun was stuck to his torso. Sure. Whatever. I never liked DL much but that was a crappy way to kill him off.

Also, if THAT's how Peter ended up in that box in Ireland, where did the little box with Peter's ID come from and how'd it end up in the hands of the dead Irish gangsters?

And, Peter and Adam escaped from the Company facility "one month ago." Then "three weeks ago" they healed Nathan. Where ever the facility was, it took them a week to get to New York? Could Peter not fly? Did he forget he could? If so, how did he know he could phase through a wall? Wouldn't Adam have mentioned it? Or did they just take the scenic route to New York?

But who cares, because this was all about Elle for me. Her short but sweet backstory told to Peter was a million times better than all the hackneyed, redundant scenes of Maya's eyes tearing up black put together.

Elle being all touchy feely with Peter gave me a whole different kind of tingle.

Next week, finally: Elle meets Claire. I'm there.

They pretty much forgot THE BOX, didn't they? I'm sure it was a victim of a rewrite. It just kind of stuck out to me since they made such a big deal out of it before.

To recap:
-THE BOX contained "everything Peter had on him", according to the Irish thugs.
-In the box was Peter's passport, a photo of him and Nathan, and a plane ticket to Montreal.

Yet, in this episode Peter goes into the crate with just the pants he was wearing after escaping The Company. And this takes place IMMEDIATELY after Adam tells him out of the blue to go to Montreal. How did he have the plane ticket?

Other than that annoying head scratcher, I loved the episode. Though, I'm done with Nikki. I like Micah, but his mom needs to go.

It was good... I guess... I just expected a little more out of it than we got. I also got FURIOUS at how D.L. died. It turned his apparent sacrifice at the Plaza into a meaningless act; what was wrong with the idea of D.L.'s death turning Nikki into a crazy again?

I'm not so sure that they said that the BOX was what was on Peter when they found him; the BOX could have been sitting around the pub for years, and was just a convenient and spooky container for his personal items.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the Irish guys just took everything Peter had on him when they found him and put it in the box. Adam gave him the plane ticket just before Elle and the Haitian showed up, I think (I might be misrembering that, and I didn't record the episode). And while it wouldn't have taken Adam and Peter a whole week to get to New York, it probably took them some time to get some new clothes and figure out where exactly in New York Nathan was.

I think I was unclear. I know that Peter didn't have the box on him, but it didn't seem to me that there was time (at least from what was shown to us last night) for him to get his passport and a plane ticket to Montreal. And it really seemed to me that Adam brought up Montreal for the first time right before they split up and took off running.

And I don't think they had to search for Nathan. He was still in the same hospital where Peter dropped him off.

Tenken347 was remembering right; Adam mentioned acquiring the passport and plane ticket for Peter and passed them off to him right before Elle showed up. And given that they had a week between escaping and visiting Nathan, I'd say that there was plenty of time to get those. So no continuity screw up there. But if anyone wants to talk about how the effects guys can't seem to pay attention to when Maya's black gunk tears appear and disappear, I'm all for it...

It seems like they are trying to right the ship, and if that includes a few continuity glitches in regards to the first 6 episodes, I am all for it. The less I remember about those eps, the better. As John Orquiola said, this should have been the first episode of the season, although last week was decent. I am actually looking forward to next week, and that hasn't happened all season.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

One thing last night didn't explain: what the hell happened with Sylar (in other words, how he went from being dragged into a sewer by Candice post-kaboom to powerless and getting entertained by Candice's illusions four months later in the middle of the Mexican desert. I still don't think Candice was acting alone and the Company still has its fingers in Sylar somehow (maybe they used Sylar as the experimental subject for the power-neutralization pills after Peter escaped, and they got the formula right?)

Other that that, count me in with everyone else on the quality of the episode overall and the utter lameness of D.L.'s death.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

It's unfortunate that, due to the writer's strike, there are only three episodes left in the season. Though what "season" means in this case, I don't think anyone really knows.

Originally, The 2nd season of the show was meant to be "Parts 2 and 3" of the series... (Season 1 was Part 1), but because of the strike, they're cutting the season off after Part 2 ends, and Part 3 won't be happening yet.

So Peter, with no knowledge of his powers, is trapped inside that crate for the length of time that it took Nathan to grow his beard, and comes out looking exactly the same?

Other than that I have no complaints.

That's a good one! Maybe the beard was retconned. It never existed. Then when continuity gets wonky, they can say it's the beard punching the walls of time.

The timing of the whole thing is weird. When I go back to check the passport/plane ticket thing, I'll check when exactly it was Peter went into the crate.

Maybe Peter looks exactly the same because of his exposure to Adams abilities? Maybe Adam, along with not being able to die or age, cannot grow a beard. I mean, Adam looks the same as he did a few centuries ago.

Now Peter has those same abilities and cannot grow a beard. Why is he so lucky?

Peter also can't grow his Wacky Bang back.

Elle vs. Claire is where it's at. I always thought KB was way nice, but look at that, she's a jerk.

Anyone else think the storyline with the Hispanic Twins is extremely boring? It's surpassed the Nikki/DL storyline in terms of boredom for me.

My impression was that everyone thinks that. It looked like it might have gotten interesting once Sylar met up with them, mostly because Sylar is great, but nothing's happened since.
