That's not quite it - Cade & Murdoch can want to change the finish, but it doesn't matter unless the referee's going to go along with it and count out JTG and Shad. It's less the Cowboys going into business for themselves and more everyone but Cryme Tyme finding out there's a change in plan (though for a dubious reason.)

Though it doesn't sound like it happens that often, WWE guys are supposed to be prepared for finishes to be changed on the fly and be ready to go along with it.

Being ready to change on the fly, like "wrestler A gets injured so the end must be changed" is different than cryme time going out, having plans for the match, being prepared for the match and having it switched on them without them knowing, to make them look like chumps.

And that difference still isn't as great as the difference between all that stuff you said and Cryme Tyme getting physical with someone not prepared or trained for it.

But matches have been cut short beforehand. What if the agent didn't like the way the match was going, and decided to pull it before it went on longer, and wasted everyone's time?

He'd signal the timekeeper who'd signal the ref to cut it short. If the ref happened to choose the count-out spot, it's up to him. Shad and JTG had no idea that this wasn't what happened and decided to retaliate.

No one was physically hurt by the count-out, but if Cryme Tyme had botched their finisher (whatever it may be) the ref could have been injured, possibly severely.

Wisely, there are no mentions of Twitter. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/iron-sheik--the-man-behind-the-mask-224707360.html And here's the link to his fundraiser (indiegogo.com).
