That was an awesome game- both the NHL and NBA playoffs have been full of good ones- but I wish Horry would remember he isn't good enough to keep doing this.

The Kings have noone to blame but themselves though. They let this game slip away.

I agree about the awesome part, but Horry has been doing this for years. He hit big shots for the Rockets back when they were winning championships. The way this series is going, it will probably come down to a classic game seven.

Side note: In disturbing news, my Cleveland Cavs are looking to trade Andre Miller. Why, why, why? If the trade happens i'll still be a fan, but all faith in management will be gone.

I had given up watching the game in the third quarter when the Kings were up double digits.

I guess, after Saturday, one should assume no lead is safe.

Horry is the man and the kings calling the shot luck is just ridiculous. Robert Horry is five times the clutch player Kobe Bryant is, aside from a barrage of threes at the end of game 3 Kobe rarely comes up that big in the clutch. Robert Horry, like mskj said, has been stepping up and making these shots for years now. He was one of the main reasons Houston took it all the way against the Magic 7 years ago and had a ton of game winners and just HUGE shots in the 4th quarter throughout the playoffs of the Houston championship seasons. Game 3 against Orlando in the finals he was just amazing. Recently a commitee led my Magic Johnson released a list of the top 20 playoff players of all time and Horry was on the list which says something in my opinion. Chris Webber can go ahead and talk his shit and call the game a lucky win, but the bottom line is even after shooting 71% as a team from the field in the first half, the kings just couldn't contain L.A. and they should stop making excuses and regroup going back to the Arco. Sac may very well be a better team than LA currently, but they are just making themselves look like bitches by making all of these excuses to the media.

grrr... the kings gave that one away. I do have to say it was about time the Lakers stepped up and started defending bibby right. But damn. The self destruct. I dont know all about luck.... the shot didn't look forced and it was a nice shot.... just luck they were able to get the ball to him i guess.

I think the "luck" came when one of the Kings swatted the rebound right to Horry for the shot...

I think the Kings getting another early lead hurt them in game 4. After what happened in game 3, everyone knew the lakers would make at least one big run. But the big run never happened this time. The Lakers pretty much chipped off four or five points at a time from the second quarter on. The Lakers would reel off five or six and the kings would feel the pressure to make a shot to slow them down. And for the most part they did that. Bibby and Webber hit some big momentum killing shots. But the Kings never got the mo back after the first quarter. And a team can only hit so many pressure shots. Unless it has Robert Horry on the floor.

They should have fouled Shaq on the inbound. He was the last Laker I expected them to inbound to, but there he was. If they foul him, he needs to make both or it's over, and that would require him continuing his unlikely streak to make it, what, 8 free throws in a row? And if he somehow does, the Kings still have eight or nine seconds to get a basket and win. I know that common coaching logic is to not give the other team the chance there, but I dunno, in that situation, I can't help but think it would have been the smart move.

Horry really is the second most important player on the Lakers (after Shaq). He's just one of those guys who wins and makes his teams into winners by scoring at the key times, unlike say Van Exel, who can put up big numbers but maybe not the right ones.

My team is out, the only thing I'm rooting for is for the Lakers to not win again. Is that really too much to ask? Man, if they lose that game, Shaq, Kobe and Jackson are insulting each other in the post-game press conference and Kobe does something like trying to punch Shaq in game 5 or something awesome like that, and then everybody wins. Except the Lakers. Which is the best part. But alas.

After seeing what he had to say inpostgames news conference, I can say Vlade Divac is and idiot. He said Horry shot was all luck and no skill, that anybody could have made that shot and that Horry just threw it up hoping to beat the buzzer. I guess Divac wasn't watching or, like Horry said, reading about the two other times these playofs alone that Horry has done this.

Lakers got over on the Kings AGAIN. Boy do the Kings remind me of Jericho and the Lakers Triple H. The Kings could get their shots in, and make a game out of it. But we all know how it will end up. With Shaq, Kobe & Philip doing the steriod pose at the final buzzer... But much like me with Jericho, I'm wishing the impossible and hoping the kings get over.

I have to say one of the funnist things I heard was the Kings broadcast team on the final play, they played the clip on the radio here, and you could just tell by their voice when the Lakers inbounded the ball that THEY KNEW, LA was going over. And after Horry hit the last second shot, I've never heard such a half assed call ever, he whispered "it's in" in a depressed voice. I understand being a homer and all but COME ON, have some respect for yourself, that clip is going to be passed around to radio stations around the continent.

Well... the Kings tried very hard to give Game 3 away, but the Lakers didn't want to take it.

The Kings tried very hard again to give Game 4 away, and this time they... um... succeeded.

Vlade was a Laker and scarily enough he was their leading scorer in 93 with like 13 or 14 a game I believe, the same year that Nick Van Exel came in and that Magic Johnson came back in at about 270lbs, ahhh the memories.

Kind of off topic but man, there was a point during the Mid 90's when I thought Eddie Jones would be where Kobe is today, Eddie was such a damn good player back then, not to say he isn't now. The sky was the limit and I was really shocked when the Lakers dealt him.

Horry has been doing that for years so no one should be surprised. If I had to draft a roster from the current NBA players you can be sure that he would be a top 5 pick. He plays good D, not selfish, and is there in the clutch. Every team would love to have a player like him.
