After a two year hiatus, I've drifted back into playing Wow. Much to my surprise, they didn't delete my lvl 24 Tauren Hunter, and now he's up to lvl 29 on Skywall.
Anyone else play WoW or any other MMOG's?
You believe me, don't you? Please believe what I just said...

Like you I tired WoW in the past but gave it up for a long time. It's cool and all, but I don't really have a ton of time for that stuff. Especially not three hour instances. But I installed it again last week and have had fun just doing solo stuff on there. I'm on Thrall.
Wmatistic, most of the dungeons in the expansion are broken into wings, so each wing can be done in about an hour (with a competent group).
We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee -- Marian Wright Edelman

Yeah but even then there's the whole organizing a time to get a competent group together around cooking dinner for my family and getting the kid to bed. It just never works out. But this soloing thing has me from level 34 less than two weeks ago up to 46 now, so it's going good I'd say.
I play Runescape but I became tired of it when I finished all the free quests. I would have become a member but they permanently muted me so I wasn't going to pay if I couldn't talk. Now I make accounts to fool around with my friends.
I used to play WoW and still have a 62 warlock on Uther, but I got burned out right before the expansion came out. I still log on every once in awhile, but I'm just too busy to sink 12-15 hours a week raiding with my guild.
I actually got the itch again after seeing the South Park WoW episode replayed the other week, but it went away quickly.
I've seen 14 movies so far this year: Because I Said So - (2*); Borat - (5*); Children Of Men - (4*); Die Hard 4 - (5*); Evan Almighty - (3.5*); Fantastic Four 2 - (4.5*); Hairspray - (5*); Harry Potter 5 - (4*); Knocked Up - (4*); The Last Mimsy - (4*); Mr. Brooks - (4*); Shrek The Third - (3*); Spiderman 3 - (3.5*); Transformers - (2*)
I played Runescape. I finished all the free quests, and became a member. Eventually I reached the point where I wasn't going to be able to do any more quests without leveling up a bunch, and I wasn't interested in doing that. Then I tried to do a quest that was too hard for me and I lost all the valuable armor I had.
It's really hard for MMORPGs to strike the proper balance between the casual users and the hardcore gamers (like the people on WoW who were at lvl 70 the week after the new stuff came out).
I play City of Heroes/City of Villains (and I've played Kingdom of Loathing too, on and off). Never tried WoW, and I don't really have any impulse to do so ... I've heard too many horror stories about how the game revolves around getting the best loot and racing your way to the level cap so you can do the raids.
"The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?"
WoW player here. Not hardcore though, I have a 39 warrior on Azshara and a 40 warlock on Bladefist.
Before that, I played Final Fantasy XI for a few years. It was fun, until the designers let RMT take over the game. WoW seems much more PvP oriented, but I like that.
I don't have much time to play this type of stuff either, but I like being able to log in for an hour and accomplish something.
I just started playing Kingdom of Loathing maybe 3 months ago. I like how it limits you to X adventures per day. During Christmas (called "Crimbo" in game) that gives me a reason to login and play for about 30 minutes every day.
Currently playing Kingdom of Loathing. I started about 3 years ago, but since I don't pay attention when I play, it's always new to me.
I've played more online games than I'm comfortable thinking about including Everquest, Eve, WoW, Warhammer, CoH/CoV, Dark Ages of Camelot, Lord of the Rings . . .
