      OK show.

    Seriously. I was watching London & Kendrick vs. WGTT a few weeks ago and the crowd was absolutley DEAD. I forget where it was but they put on a great show and the crowd was silent. It's like watching a sitcom without a studio audience or laugh track; it really takes away.

They've really got no reason to react. Aside from Cryme Tyme and Cade and Murdoch, the fans haven't been given a reason to care for either team. RAW hasn't done a good job of introducing London and Kendrick to the Monday night audience, and there isn't much behind their characters. Same with Haas & Benjamin; aside from that one night where they had that kiss bet, they're mainly put out there to wrestle three-minute matches, usually of little consequence.

It's almost as if WWE is reluctantly putting tag team wrestling out there. I think the feeling is there is no money in tag team wrestling (at least the ones that are in WWE now), so why waste time creating/spending time on characters?

If the tag titles can't ever be featured in a main event other than the 'can they co-exist' teams then the whole division doesn't really mean a whole lot.

If the company doesn't give a shit and take the division seriously why would the fans? I still think there is a place for tag team wrestling, but when all the focus is on the individual scene any team that ends up getting good heat will soon be broken up to try and make another singles star.

The Dudleys have proved that they are more effective together, and Matt Hardy fans may not like it but the Hardys are much better together than apart as well. Other than JBL leaving the APA and the E&C break up I can't really think of a lot of successful broken tag teams in the last ten years.

What happened to the late 80's/early 90's where there was like 10 tag teams in the WWF that had a good chance at the tag titles. Back in those days, tag matches were deemed "tag team attractions" which made the match feel special.

Its sad how almost every division is treated like crap now. I mean, lets look at some of the "divisions":

Women's = joke
cruiserweight = joke
IC = joke
tag titles (both brands) = joke
us title (I almost forgot MVP was the current champ) = joke

If its not the major title of each brand, its basically treated like crap. Way to go, WWE.

I agree KIU. So then we have situations where the wrestlers who aren't at the ME level feuding for "personal reasons" which are usually really stupid.
Cryme Tyme will probably get a title shot soon but why do they deserve it? They lost the one match they had against Cade and Murdoch. So stealing a hat and probably later the tag titles makes them deserving of a title match?
There has been and always will be a place for personal feuds. However matches for the title or to become the #1 contender or revenge for costing someone the titles should be what a large chunk of wrestling should be about.

In no way is Matt Hardy better as a tag team wrestler. Or Jeff, for that matter. They have good matches as a tandem, but they're much more varied and fun when they're on their own.

To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

I don't know, there was one point in my life that I would have killed to own a Mattitude shirt.

Is there even merch available for them as a team?

This is especially true since they scrapped the single-branded PPVs. Ever since, you've had your two main-event championships to build to, along with the ECW title match of the night. Combine that with the 3-4 week turnaround needed to put on 14-15 events a year, and it's really hard to develop midcard feuds. Okay, it can be done - but the current staff hasn't shown much interest in doing it yet. Much easier to just set up US, IC and Women's Title defenses, whatever concerns the current Vince program, and your card is just about filled.

I don't know about the match quality, but I think it's fairly safe to say that The Hardyz as a tag team have drawn money with the TLC matches. Not sure you can say that about Jeff or Matt as singles yet. And it doesn't look like Jeff will ever be trusted no matter how over he is, and I don't think they will ever pull the trigger on a Matt Hardy main event push. Unless something ridiculous happens like half the roster gets suspended...

Say WHAT?

I think one of the reasons the tag-team champs are so downplayed because of all champion/partner vs challenger/partner tag team matches that always take place before a PPV. How many times have we seen Cena partnered with someeone on Raw??? Why should we follow a tag team championship when in most shows, they aren't the best tag team wrestling that night?

I remember when tag teams were so popular, they even had a 6 man tag team belt in the old TBS shows.

The women's division is a joke because the WWE caters to mainstream media with that division and not wrestling. You see their Diva's appearing all the time on mainstream TV, realility shows, etc. If you want to see real women's wrestling, go to Japan or youtube.

I like to the see the IC and US Championships be a TV only title change.... much like the old TV title.

The US title is as far from a joke as you can get for a secondary title in this age. Competitive matches, simple yet effective feuds, a good champion...not sure what's wrong with that.

And the ardyz comment wasn't based on merch sales or anything like that. At this time, Matt and Jeff are fresher, more entertaining and have more to offer as singles than as a team.

Foley showed he could take an extreme beating and still slap the mat three times with the help of Michaels and Nash........Whoooppeeeeee. Foley getting even with Triple H at the PPV isn't a given either.
