I will see your John from Cinn. thread and raise you Flight of the Conchords. This show is marvelous! A total turnaround from the show that precedes it, the execrable Entourage.
It's kind of like Stella done with the dry British delivery (but with all the vowel sounds slightly shifted to account for the New Zealand accents, ektually). The most natural comparison is with Tenacious D, but they were mostly bluster, whereas FOTC has ridiculously elaborate arrangements, remarkable range, and spot-on pastiches. It adds up to the greatest catalogue of fully-realized funny songs ever, surpassing even the A Mighty Wind soundtrack.
I'll admit I was rather unimpressed by the pilot, but I kept watching anyway, and I'm glad I did. I think my problem was that it took me a while to get past Jermaine as 'that guy from the Outback commercials.' That said, I can't quote my favourite lines here, as just about everything they've said is a favourite line.
That said, the Bowie tribute was probably my favourite song yet. Jermaine makes a creepy 70's Bowie...

I've just started watching this and it is pretty great! I'd point out my favourite of your favourites but they've all been removed from YouTube

I must take exception to this because most of the songs in A Mighty Wind aren't actually funny, whereas most of the Conchords songs are. Not that A Mighty Wind wasn't delightful, but it treated the folk's music with an awful lot of reverance which seriously harmed the jokerate.
Removed from YouTube, aw what the hey. It looks like they pulled all the FOTC stuff sometime over the last week. Weak. Well for the recs, I think my favorites that I had posted were:

See, what I found so funny about the Mighty Wind songs was they played (NO PUN INTENDED!) them so straight with all that folk earnestness but they're still inherently ridiculous, so being dead-on imitations make them even funnier. Except for the Mitch & Mickie duets which are pretty much just oddly straightforward love ballads. But stuff like "A Mighty Wind" and "Wanderin'" and "Blood on the Coal" just cracks me right up.
The best Conchords song is If You're Into It. It gets stuck in my head and will not leave. And then I saw the actual episode and I loved it even more as they're always so deadpan but Jermaine won't stop smiling.
