The NFL cutting back on this minor league system. I guess they(NFL) will just continue to use the arena football league as a minor league system.

Yeah, Arena Football has to like this. It's too bad that they just delayed their playoffs. Last year Arena Bowl XX was on June 11th. This year it's not until July 29th. I see two possible outcomes, both with drawbacks.
1. Players on AFL playoff teams might get passed over, because they'll miss a bunch of training camp.
2. Players on AFL playoff teams might sign with the NFL and leave midway through the playoffs, which hurts the AFL product.

The playoffs weren't delayed -- the start of the season was pushed back this year to something closer to what it had historically been.

As for the NFL's developmental league, I always thought it was spelled N-C-A-A, not N-F-L E-u-r-o-p-a.

Where does the league stand on the "17th" game proposal, and having a few games a year moved out of the country? This seems like a counter-intuitive move if you're trying to grow the fan base internationally.

NFL's spinning this as one attempt at spreading football internationally (NFLE) being replaced by a newer/better method (NFL regular season games oversees.) I guess the idea is they can do the international games better if they weren't also worried about the Europe league, but I find that a stretch.

I've read reports that the league was losing $30 mil a year, which sounds like a lot until you figure it's only a mil per team. I personally could not afford to be losing a million dollars a year, but I think most NFL teams could. I think the NFL teams just didn't think they got much out of this league.

I wonder if the NFL will set up a domestic spring minor league in the next year or two, similar to the NBDL. I watched a few NFL Europe games, so I know I'd watch those too.

I would too. As much as I try, I just can't get into Arena football. It's too much like indoor soccer for my tastes (fewer players, shorter field, ridiculously high scores)

Well pretty much the NFL has a agreement with the AFL. Many of the AFL teams are owned by NFL owners now. Many of the players in the AFL get a chance to work out on a NFL practice squad after the AFL season is over. It has been talked about that one day the AFL will serve as farm teams for the NFL.
