It's that time again!

WWE Championship Challenge Match: King Booker vs. Mick Foley vs. John Cena vs. Lashley vs. Randy Orton

Eh, Cena probably retains here. I don't see him losing the belt again until Triple H comes back.

World Heavyweight Championship, Last Chance Match: Edge vs. Batista

Has Batista's improvement given WWE more confidence in him? Even so, I don't think WWE takes the belt off Edge this soon.

ECW World Title Match: Chris Benoit vs. C.M Punk

I know a lot of people think Punk is ready for the title, but I don't know that WWE thinks so. Benoit wins a hard-fought match.

Intercontinental Title Match: Santino Marella vs. Umaga

Umaga wins, continues to beat up Santino, Maria comes out to comfort him, she gets beat up by Umaga too.

U.S. Title Match: M.V.P vs. Ric Flair

Flair wins the title, sparking a long-term feud with Porter.

World Tag Title Match: Cade & Murdoch vs. Matt & Jeff Hardy

I'll say the Hardys win by cheating, to even things up.

Cruiserweight Title Match: Chavo Guerrero vs. Jimmy Wang Yang

I'm rooting for Yang, but I think Chavo retains.

Women's Title Match: Melina vs. Candice Michelle

Candice gets a reward for her improved in-ring work with a short title reign.

WWE Tag Title Match: Deuce 'N Domino Open Challenge

This would be a great time to have some blast from the past tag team show up to fight the tag champs, but it'll probably be the Major Brothers or some other boring team. Either way, the Greasers retain.

Cena retains
Edge over Batista
Benoit over Punk
Umaga over Marella
MVP over Flair
Hardyz over Cade/Murdoch
Chavo over Wang
Melina over Candice

EDIT: Also, Deuce and Domino will retain their titles. It would be hilarious if the E forgot to give them a match (although I think the Major Brothers will probably show up just to do the job).

Part of me wants to see a Punk heel turn after losing to Benoit, that will allow him to feud with champ Benoit. However, another part of me realizes that ECW is very heel-heavy right now (Cor Von, Burke, Thorn, Nitro) in terms of the better/high-profile wrestlers, so they need him as a face...

Cena retains

Edge retains

Benoit becomes the new ECW champion

Marella retains (because I think he gets lost in the shuffle if he's not the champ)

MVP retains as well

Cade & Murdoch retain after the Hardyz resort to cheating and get caught by the referee

Jimmy Wang (lol his middle name is Wang) Yang only because I don't have any title switches as of yet.

Melina retains, and holds the title until Summerslam.

Lots of retention titlewise, the only title I think that might realistically change hands would be Cena dropping it to say, Lashley, but I can't see him dropping the title to anyone but say King Booker. And I don't even really see that happening.

Cena wins
Edge over Batista
Benoit over Punk
Santino over Umaga (by DQ)
MVP/Flair could go either way, but MVP keeps the belt and Flair gets beat down either way. (possibly another DQ?)
Cade & Murdoch over Matt/Jeff Hardy
The Major Brothers (or whoever) over Deuce & Domino, because there needs to be a title change...
Jimmy Wang Yang over Chavo
Candice Michelle over Melina

Cena retains, pinning Foley after Orton puts Foley into concussion-ville, population 2 (RVD, HBK).

Batista regains title against Edge because of the Do or Die stip.

Flair over MVP via DQ or countout. Point is, Flair wins the match but doesn't win the belt.

Benoit over Punk in the finals of the ECW tourney.

Cade & Murdoch over Hardy Boys because of Matt's burgeoning singles push on SD.

Candace Michelle over Melina because Jillian is next for a title feud on Raw.

Santino over Umaga, probably via DQ.

Chavo retains over Jimmy Wang Yang.

Deuce and Domino beat whoever they face, if they face anyone.

I only wish the WWE would give Jericho the belt, but considering what they did with his last title run (yay, let's make a dog a bigger start in the plotline than the champ), and how badly cena burried him on his way out (repeatedly!), I somehow don't think we'll see Y2J beating Cena for the championship in this lifetime.

On the other hand, given the position Chris is in, where he doesn't have to come back at all unless he feels like it, and the WWE needs the star power... if I was Chris, I wouldn't sign that dotted line to come back unless they were gonna do EXACTLY what I'm pretty sure they won't do. So, we'll see.

I'd probably start tuning in again regularly for a Y2J return. He was one of two or three favorites in my last wrestling binge along with Lesnar and Edge.

Jericho has repeatedly said that he doesn't give a shit about title reigns. He got his one world championship, and he's happy with that. And the total burial of him on the way out was entirely his idea.

Predix:

Orton over the others (it's a longshot, but I've got a feeling)
Edge over Batista (the stip is that Dave doesn't get another title shot while Edge is champion, which is a perfect set-up for him getting screwed out of the win)
Benoit over Punk, leading a series between the two
Hardys over Cade & Murdoch to set up the aforementioned Hooliganz program
MVP over Flair
Umaga over Marella (I think they've given up on him)
Candice over Melina
Jimmy Wang Yang over CHavo

For some reason, I think they've gotta shake up Cena at the top. For that reason, I'm thinking he drops the belt here. But to whom... I'm on my limb saying King Booker.

And the rest...
Edge over Batista
Benoit over Punk
Cade & Murdoch over Hardyz
MVP over Flair
Chavo over Yang
Umaga over Marella
Melina over Candice

Deuce and Domino have issued an open challenge, according to WWE.com. Paging the Major brothers...

I've missed a couple of shows here and there, but how exactly did Mick Foley suddenly appear in the World Title picture?

I missed something, because he was suddenly in the match then got his clock cleaned by Umaga. Hardly the showing of a contender.

I have not missed any shows, and I was wondering the same thing. I like Foley, but this title shot is out of nowhere. Isn't it his first since 2000??? It makes no sense to shoe-horn him into the match just because he was standing there with the rest of the contenders during the promo on Raw.

It makes perfect sense. The open match was announced, he was a former WWE champion, and it was a golden opportunity for him to get a title shot as a part-timer. Why wouldn't he take up the offer of a shot at Cena?

On the Draft show, Mr. McMahon announced that any former world champions who were on the RAW Brand at the end of the night were eligible to challenge Cena for the title at Vengeance. Lashely and Booker got drafted to the show, Orton was already there, and Foley did a promo noting that, due to his prior feuds, he happened to be listed as a RAW star and figured he might as well not pass up a free title shot.

Austin's also assigned to RAW, but that ain't happening. I don't remember if they had Rock listed, not that it matters. Sandman was drafted to RAW in the supplemental draft, but since that wasn't till Sunday, he isn't eligible.

I have lots of heels winning, hence the gutsy picks of Lashley and Flair/Batista.

In that case I think the obvious question is, "Have they inducted Mae Young into the HOF yet?" Because if not that feels as inevitable as the sun rising in the East or Kerry Wood injuring himself in a hot tub. And I agree with Kentish...
