The cops on the scene don't notice a body gone missing and ask around. Keeping the guy away from your daughter has been one of the keys to Noah's life for how long, and you don't check to see if he is really dead?
Look, I'm glad he is still around, one thing that I hate is when movie franchises kill off key villians, leaving no room for future stories (ie the joker in Batman, but how hard would it have been to either cut to him in the ambulance or the Morge, getting up and leaving.
Nathan stepping in, while well set up looking back now, was also dissapointing. And somehow I think we haven't seen the last of him. Its the old comic book rule, any death not shown on panel (or screen in this case) isn't real.
I think the problem is, is that the story had seemed to be set up for Sylar to die and stay dead, but somewhere along the line, Tim Kring really began to like the Sylar character a bit too much, and changed course midstream to keep him alive.
I'm perfectly alright with the Peter/Sylar fight not being a huge FX-filled Burly Brawl, because this show has never really been about having the over-the-top 'blockbuster' vibe, and more about 'what if normal people suddenly discovered they had special abilities?', though I'll admit it was out of character for Sylar (but NOT for Peter) to not be throwing his proverbial weight around...
Also, it seems like as the show went on, my favorite characters were those without powers, so I was VERY happy to see Ando and "Noah" (if that turns out to be the character's real name) survive.
People keep asking for a Sylar/Peter megafight, but really, when Sylar can just pick you up telekinetically and then saw your head, there's not much you can do about it. Peter really lacks any "take it to him" abilities, except the nuking, which he was too scared to use anyways.

Well he does have Stripper Strength now And I would assume that he can DL/VISION people's inners now. Add that to Hiro's teleportation and Parkman's telepathy and Molly's find it powers and the ability to see the future PLUS HE CAN FLY And Regenerate.
Even if he is Ultra-Boy, You find him. You teleport to him. You turn invisible. (less useful with Sylar admittedly because he can hear you.) You read his mind to know what he is about to do. You teleport behind him And then you put your fist through his head.
Also, Peter has been shown to use Sylar's TK, which seems like it would indicate that he has all of Sylar's other powers as well, he just doesn't know what they are.
I've got a late question but never really thought of it until the top of this show during the flashbacks.
When Nathan was being held by Mr. Bennett, he flies right out of the facility. However, the Haitian was standing right next to him. How did Nathan use his powers? Wouldn't the Haitian just nullify his ability to fly?
Originally posted by brickIf I remember right from that episode, Noah turned to the haitian after Nathan excaped and said something along the lines of "you f'ed up"
Keep in mind that we later learned that the Haitian was working for Nathan's mother, so it was probably deliberate.
