The Office can do super-sized episdoes from now until doomsday and it's all good with me because there's so much choice stuff they cut out of the show anyway. Great episode and one of the best ones of the season that sets up the assumed cliffhanger nicely. Plus the fact that the roles in Jam have now completely reversed themselves from where they were this time last year.
And hopefully, just in the name of humanity, someone finally fished out Andy. I was proud of myself for the fact that I was able to identify the floating blob pre-closeup despite not having my glasses on at the time.

Pam rocks!!! Not only did she lay all her cards out...but in front of everyone. I sure dont want this season to end, but am very ready for it on DVD. Part of me wanted Jim to say something, but the other part wants to wait knowing there's gotta be something bigger about to happen.
The end completely made the episode for me, the rest of it was just kinda there.

I love Pam so much. I love the entire cast, actually. I thought there would always be one character on every show, no matter how good the show was, that I wouldn't be able to stand . With this show, that character does not exist. Everybody from Pam to Andy to Todd Packer has made a little spot for themselves in my heart.
There's been talk that NBC might expand the show to an hour next season. Not many comedies could fill an hour (most can't fill half an hour), but I think this show can do it.

Word is that Season 4's order is 24 episodes, including 4 hour-longs [likely the season finale and Christmas episodes, plus 2 others].
And hey, here's Pam's speech!

Hey, I want to say something. I’ve been trying to be more honest lately and I just need to say a few things. I did the coal walk! Just, I did it. Michael, you couldn’t even do that. Maybe I should be your boss. Wow, I feel really good right now. Why didn’t any of you come to my art show? I invited all of you. That really sucked. It’s like sometimes, some of you act like I don’t even exist. Jim, I called off my wedding because of you. And now we’re not even friends. And things are just like weird between us, and that sucks. And I miss you. You were my best friend before you went to Stamford. And I really miss you. I shouldn’t have been with Roy, and there were a lot of reasons to call off my wedding. But the truth is, I didn’t care about any of those reasons until I met you. And now you’re with someone else, and that’s fine. It’s … whatever. That’s not what I’m … I’m not … okay my feet really hurt. The thing that I’m just trying to say to you, Jim, and to everyone else in the circle I guess, is that I miss having fun with you. Just you, not everyone in the circle. Okay, I am gonna go walk in the water now. Yeah, it’s a good day.
Wow, what a balls out speach by Pam! It was almost uncomfortable, and I was almost expecting Karen to get in her face. The catfight of my dreams since last Fall.
Dean! Have you been shooting dope into your scrotum? You can tell me! I'm hip!
I havent watched this (awesome) show in months. A couple times I almost tuned in but stopped myself because I was afraid that I had already missed too much. But last night there was no basketball on TNT like there usually is, so I watched the show and I am glad I did. I've already got next week's finale on the DVR schedule so I'm set.
Furthermore, Stanley = GANGSTA, even though he did sell out for the hot dog eating contest. I was disappointed for a minute until he explained his motivations.
And LOL @ Kelly for not knowing who Bob Hope was, then comparing her to Amanda Bines, and "Temp" looking at her like "WOW".
Meridith (the alcoholic one, is that her name?) flashing the camera by mistake was funny too.
And man, the speech. If I wasnt already in love with Pam, I sure am now. Thanks for transcribing that, Freeway.
This episode was WEIRD. Still enjoyed it, but I did not feel like I was watching The Office at all. Dwight collapsing on the coals got alot of sympathy groans and squeals in our apartment. Pam's speech had everyone smiling and wondering what will come next week. She's a character you can only wish good things upon right now.
It seems too obvious what will happen next week: Karen gets the job, Jim and Pam have some sort of cliffhanger moment at the end. I have a feeling something else will happen instead, but what else makes sense?
Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her. Harry: That's a special feeling.
I was actually stunned that Andy won the hot dog eating contest when KEvin said earlier that all he wanted to do was sit ont he beach and eat hot dogs. It should have been him winning the hot dog eating contest and then a close up of him saying "This is the greatest day of my life". Or when he lost saying he will never eat another hot dog again.
Otherwise, yet another great episode. And I LOVED Creed fishing barehanded and eating a raw fish and then acting surprised that there was food. Creed is awesome.
And I did not like Stanley until he finally gave up and went on the bus. That's the Stanley I know and love.
I am hopinh that Jim gets the job and the cliffhanger is whether he leaves Karen and Pam for NY. Also, the tension between Jim and Michael would be great.
Jim and Pam MUST end up together. When the series ends, if they are not together, then that would be a crime. The show ending with Jim as the boss and Pam as office manager would be great.
And Angela rocks. The fact that she would let Andy float away and not think anything wrong with it is awesome.
Fry crack corn and I don't care Leela crack corn I still don't care Bender crack corn and he is great Take that you stupid corn!
"just because you ARE a character does not mean you HAVE character.."
Michael Scott: A boss's salary isn't just about money, it is about perks. It... for example, every year I get a $100 gas card... Can't put a price tag on that.
The Office, Survivor & Harry Potter all wrapped together up in one scene was especially funny to me since my nine year old has me reading all of the books before # 7 comes out this summer. While Dwight may see himself in Griffindor, he really is more of a Hufflepuff I think.
Pam's speech was WOW - what a great moment

The main plot with Cleveland coming to grips with his age feels like it's been done so many times. There were some funny moments, like Junior's conversation with Larry the Leopard ("Why would Danny Glover be in our house?")
