According to ROHWrestling.com and every other major wrestling site, the May 12th ROH show from the Manhattan Center in New York City will be taped for PPV and broadcast for 60 days beginning July 1st on TVN, Dish Network and inDemand. New PPVs will air every second month [July, September, November, January 2008, March 2008 and May 2008].
Shows will still be available on DVD after their PPV broadcast.
After watching the ROH show in Detroit, being floored in the process, I'm all for them jumping into PPV. I'm hoping for a reasonable price too. Like in the 24.95 range. Not saying I wouldn't buy it if was higher though. ROH is chalked full of action depending upon who's booked from opener to main event.

Initial reports say the PPVs will be in the $10 to $15 range, depending on PPV provider.
The PPVs will be 2 hour versions of the taped shows (which wouldn't appear to change), so you're not paying full price, but there's reasons to get the DVDs as well.

EXACTLY, as I slightly break into a double post, and very good point. While I haven't been a collector of ROH DVD's I soon hope to have a stock pile by the end of the year. New, used, and/or bootlegged what every the case may be because I've sorely been missing out of the action this promotion been putting out.

This couldn't have been timed better for me, as I will be at that NYC show on the 12'th. I knew the show would be good, but now I'm salivating as to what surprises and possible booking changes could be in store because of this PPV deal.
Of course it could mean that there will be more angles and promos than in the past, and as long as it is the right people doing the promos, I'm all for that as well. They gotta pull out all the stops.
I don't know the schedule of Bryan Danielson with regards to NOAH, but I would think a Danielson return and possible match with Morishima would be my pick for the main event.

They've pulled their talent from PWG shows as well. The general reason seems to be that TNA doesn't want 3rd-party retailers like Highspots or Smart Mark Video to be able to sell DVDs of events with TNA Wrestlers on them, that TNA themselves did not produce.
