A quick "Thanks!" to the Cavs for getting their heads out of their behinds and winning out the last four games. Thanks also go out to the Bulls for choking hard in that last game.

Great night to be a Bulls fan. We lose and fall to the fifth seed and a first-round elimination, and fat-ass Eddy Curry has the one shining moment of his career with a meaningless tip-in to cost us draft position. The only prediction I have is that last night absolutely screwed the Bulls, they lose in 5 to Miami. Detroit vs. Phoenix in the finals. Detroit wins.

Anyone have a link to an NBA Bandwagon thing like they had during the NFL playoffs? 'Cuz I need someone to follow since the Pacers aren't in this year.

Originally posted by The GoonI don't really follow basketball, but I would like to see one of the Raptors punk out Vince Carter in that series.
This is the weirdest I've ever seen this city when it comes to the playoffs, and that's saying something. Vince might be the most villified athlete ever in Toronto (and this is with Toronto fans booing Larry Murphy every time he touched the puck. BTW, they did this while he played for them. Can't wait for this to happen to McCabe).
I really don't know what's going to happen in that series. I can see Toronto ripping through them with Carter sitting on the bench, towel over his head. But no one on Toronto can stop Carter if he REALLY wants it. He can get any shot off and Kidd will make sure he gets the ball the right positions. Factor in Boki Nachbar and the fact that Collins/Moore defends Bosh as well as anyone (although Collins couldn't score 20 with Verne Troyer guarding him), NJ is a horrible matchup for them.
Strangely, this might come down to how well Joey Graham guards Richard Jefferson. Carter and Kidd will get their points, but if RJ goes off in this series, forget it, Toronto has no chance.
All I know is that if it goes seven, the Toronto crowd will riot if NJ wins in this building. This might be the first time a crowd scares a team into beating another one.
BTW, I said Cleveland/Dallas before the season, so I'll stick with that, but it amazes me that NO ONE mentions LeBron in the MVP voting. How in the world did this team win 50 games? LARRY HUGHES is their 2nd best player. Eric Snow plays minutes on this team. Everyone goes on about how Kobe has no supporting cast, but LeBron DREAMS about having Lamar Odom and Luke Walton as his teammates.
Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you... I'm completely apathetic about pro hoops, but whatever, I'll make some picks.

smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Holds; June 18, 2006) While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.
