Apparently, Pro Football Talk says Theismann will be out, to be replaced by Ron Jaworski. I know a lot of people (real and on the internet) who aren't fans of Theismann, but I find him perfectly acceptable.

At the end of the article, it mentions that Detroit Tigers pitcher Nate Robertson told the Detroit News that ESPN offered the analyst job on MNF to Bill Parcells, who declined. No idea how he'd know that.

Awesome news...and I think Jaws will do a pretty good job, but...I still think they don't use their best talking head enough work.....Steve Young did a game if I remember correctly, or maybe just sat in the booth for a while, and was good to listen to.

I remember hearing Jaws a few weeks ago call an Arena football game and he was doing some fantastic work. I think Monday Night Football might just be a lot better with Tirico and Jaws, since I'm pretty sure they can reign in the often-rambling TK.

1st Week of '06, when MNF had a double-header, the 2nd game was Jaws, Brad Nessler, and Dick Vermeil, and it was awesome. As much as I like Kornheiser, I hope he doesn't bring Jaworski down.

Jaws and Tony right now have much more chemistry than Tony and Theisman ever did. This can only help.

I was about to write the exact same sentences.

I still am not likely to watch, though.

That was by far the best anouncing job I heard in a pro game all year. (Even if my team was getting its ass handed to them).

But I think it had more to do with the great chemistry between Jaws and Vermeil. As the two of them have a history together going back to Phily, and they are both very good at breaking down what is happening on the field.

Jaws will have to bring the knowlage on his own when paired with Kornheiser, unless Tony drops the "I know nothing about football" stich.

Just give us the last Sunday night crew of Allen, Maguire, Theismann, and Kolber. They worked well, and made even bad games fun to watch.

Apparently, the Colts have granted Harrison is outright release, saving them a few millions in cap space. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines.aspx?
