I dunno, isn't this a little bit overkill of the ladder match? And should Joey Mercury really be in another one this soon after he came back so quickly in the first place?

I think I shall. Same tag main event too, although this one is a lot more interesting than the last one.

It is kind of sad, yeah. I guess they had(?) to have it now because Wrestlemania will have Money in the Bank III. And needed a second good match on that card since Finlay is Boogeyin'.
It's certainly going to be a great match, but there really is no reason for it besides the fact that it happened at Armageddon. Regal & Taylor have been MIA, and Deuce & Domino are the new tag team on the block, with a non-title win to boot. Not to mention that there is very little chance that London & Kendrick won't come out with the win, since they're against two part-time teams split between brands, and a team that has 1% the moment that D&D have. What's the point of debuting D&D now and giving them the wins, if they can't even challenge at a Smackdown-only PPV? I'm going out on a limb and saying that Mania isn't going to have L&K vs. D&D.
Just a heads up, according to WWE.com, the match has been cancelled. Deuce and Domino complained about not having a title shot, and so they'll be getting their shot at No Way Out instead of having the ladder match.
I guess this keeps us from ladder match burnout before Wrestlemania?
Well, that's weird and kinda lame. I'm guessing they've decided on doing a big ladder match at 'Mania. But if not, then they really should've just replaced Regal and Taylor with D'n'D in the four-way.
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

Exactly. And frankly, I think it was a dumb idea to announce this match in the first place. Putting Mercury in a ladder match period now, 2 months after what happened to him, is stupid.
'Cept now No Way Out doesn't look as good to the buyers. And what happens to the other guys booked in the match?
Are Regal and Taylor done with WWE? They've vanished without a trace. Is something wrong with either one?
The only thing I do like about this is that booking and logic wise this is the match that makes the most sense. So JBL and I were right . And I'm hoping that London and Kendrick will retain and get to defend their titles at the biggest stage of them all.

Right. As terrible as The Greasers are, they did beat London & Kendrick on national television. For them not to get a title shot at the PPV would make it all pointless.
Besides, the four-way ladder match is something better saved for Mania anyway. Let's just hope that's the plan.
Why not mix the two concepts together? Money in the Bank with Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Johnny Nitro, Joey Mercury, and two other guys. Maybe Mr. Kennedy from Smackdown and, I don't know, Shelton Benjamin from Raw, since he's been in every one so far? Or Carlito or Flair again. Maybe they have a match to determine who gets into it.
It gives the ladder match atmosphere, makes it mean something, and also puts forward questions. Would Jeff Hardy turn on Matt to get a guaranteed title shot? What about MNM? The only problem I see is that outside of Kennedy, none of the guys really seem like World Title contenders at this point. But then, did Edge or RVD before their wins?
PWInsider-via-411 claims that the ladder match was dropped because they've decided to not have MNM & the Hardys be tag teams anymore. For what that's worth.

If that's true, then they really need to tweak Mercury's gimmick. Right now he's just "the half of the pretty-boy tag team without the hot chick." Maybe rough up his look a bit to go with his current vengeful persona.
