I'm trying to sort out a load of DVDs into chronological order that I've recently come into possession of. I want to be able to watch them in order. Thought it would be a good excuse to test someone's knowledge of XPW.
Could anybody offer me the show dates of these XPW events? (or even just into chronlogical order):

XPW is the worst fed on the planet.
Oh, you didn't like that answer?
All I can tell you is that "Hardcore Conception" was their first tape when I bought it back in....whatever year it was. I will assume that's also the case on DVD. But I don't think it was a show; it was more a compilation. I kinda wonder if some of those other ones are also compilations instead of shows.
Unfortunately, XPW isn't included in the Pro Wrestling History site (prowrestlinghistory.com) but there is a loose collection of results in the Wrestling Information Archive (100megsfree4.com) which you might be able to use to patch together what goes where.
Ultimately it probably doesn't matter much what order you view them in. (Be sure and let us know later if I'm totally wrong...or totally right!)
I think your right- XPW is a bit rubbish...they (the DVDs) came as a 'bonus' with a load of ROH I bought off a friend (just for the record). That being said to maximise my chance of 'enjoyment' I thought watching them in order might be a little more interesting.
I'll let you know after my exciting week of viewing!
XPW had potential as an ECW rip off, though MLW was the best ECW alternative. The problem with XPW was the ownership and their wanting to push the limit to Katie Vick levels when there was no need for that as they had the talent to sell the show.

Very, very true.

I've just watched 'Hardcore Conception' and realised what a terrible, terrible thing XPW really was. After ten minutes the DVD was swtiched off: never to be played again...
One thing XPW DID do well was music videos and some of their vignettes were straight up creepy and disturbing. Like all the valets were porn stars, so every so often you'd see some girl chained up and being threatened by a clown.
The wrestling was hot trash, but it's certainly an interesting fed. I'd reccomend reading up on Rob Black and Lizzy and the legal troubles they got. They sold some really, really dark videos. I've seen more than my share of porn and I tell ya, what they foised on the marketplace will turn your stomach.
There's a PBS Frontline special that came out years ago that interviewed Lizzy, I believe.
But yeah, horrible fed, horrible people, but y'know... interesting.
