As usual, a big pot of Chili Verde and an even bigger batch of lentil soup is on the menu for this year along with assorted forms of home made and high calorie carbohydrates.

I had to revive this for the Super Bowl. Usually I go to a party but this year we're having a few friends over and I'd like to make something awesome but not necessarily standard (e.g. nacho dip, wings, etc.). Some have already posted a few cool ideas in this year's Super Bowl thread, but I was hoping more Ws could post some interesting recipes they've seen or made here.
I don't follow football, but this Saturday's UFC 94 card is as close to a 'Superbowl' event as anything ever has been. We're slow cooking a pork shoulder for pulled pork sandwiches, accompanied by roasted root veggies, collard greens, and an apple cobbler for dessert.

We do the same here, only we do throw in some Velveeta or shredded cheddar as well, and the chili is Tony Packo's (this place in Toledo that has THE. BEST. chili).

Is that THE Tony Packo's, from M*A*S*H? I've always wanted to try their stuff, since Klinger hypes it up in a couple of episodes.
