From today's (5-17) Ross Report:

DDP (spine) saw Dr. Lloyd Youngblood in San Antonio on Thursday. Page has a lot of degeneration in his C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae. He also has a spinal canal narrowing which is causing weakness in his biceps and numbness in his hands. His C3 and C4 have almost completely fused together on their own. Dr. Youngblood said that DDP could continue wrestling as long as he can tolerate the pain. He has all the qualifications to have surgery but doesn't need it right now; if he continues wrestling, surgery will probably be needed down the line.

Chris Kanyon (knee) has been released to return to work. Chris is in Louisville through the end of the month getting back in ring shape.

Chris Benoit (neck) continues his in-ring workouts in Cincinnati. He is expected to be able to return to action at 100 percent in the middle or end of June.

=----------

I'm glad to see DDP can have one last good run. In fact, I'd like to see him have a title run.
With Kanyon and Benoit coming back, the product could get much better very fast.

I am not a pessimist when it comes to WWE storylines and pushes but I am afraid business only was lifted a few inches of the ground instead of really picking up.

DDP is too banged up to take any big risks with. Granted, if healthy he might be a main eventer but he won't be one ever again for two reasons.
1 - they need to build him from the ground up. So far WWE fans dont really really care about him (other than 'hey, funny catchphrase he got')
2 - The building will take time and he doesn't have that. By the time he is over as a contender his back will force him to retire.

Kanyon in my mind is one of the best around. Guy can work the crowd (although asking who is better isnt really that difficult and that is about all he does), and he has great in ring skills. I hope they find a nice spot for him, but its so damn crowded already.
I expect a funny little gimmick, in the same league as Stasiak, Dreamer, Christian, etc etc etc.

Benoit however is a different story all together. They hint at him being a contender from the get go.
Yet where does he fit in? I don't expect the WWE to drop the ball (right away) with Benoit yet I cannot see where he fits in right now.
Let's hope they have it figured out already.

Hopefully Benoit starts out with someone he knows well like Eddy or Jericho, or someone like Angle who can help him through some of the rust.

I'm still awaiting the return of Awesome, but more importantly RHYNO!
