Just what CRZ wants: me talking about Tony Kornheiser.
from today's DCRTV:
Source: Tony Kornheiser Back To WTEM - 1/19 - From DCRTV's Rumorama: "Buzz at 1801. Mandatory short notice meeting was just called at TEM. Word is that management will be announcing TK's return." DCRTV hears from another source that a formal announcement from the Clear Channel sports talker could come as soon as Monday.

From DCRTV:
Korny To Return To "MNF" - 1/15 - In the DC Examiner, sports media columnist Jim Williams tells us that the entire "Monday Night Football" ESPN crew, including Washington Post superstar sports columnist Tony Kornheiser, will be returning next season. Also, we learn via a DC Post blog that Kornheiser could return to DC's radio airwaves in mid-February. Still no official word on the station - either SportsTalk 980 or Washington Post Radio.....
Originally posted by RYDER FAKINEh, not likely. Though I heard that Erik Kasillyass has moved on to a nightly NASCAR show so the SportsBash spot is up in the air.
Pieman was smart for choosing XM, obviously

Huh? It wasn't an XM thing if that's what you had taken it for. ESPN moved Erik to a NASCAR TV show at nights. I think one of the late night ESPN radio guys is filling in for now. Even when Tony was gone from ESPN, they still aired Tony's show on another XM channel so I'm hoping for the same again here.

Doesn't mean anything towards satellite. He wasn't ever working direclty for XM before and his show was carried by them, so we'll see. I would bet they get him on some channel.
The old channel he was on was owned by Clearchannel, which also owns XM. I hope you're right though, I got a Pioneer Aireware for my birthday, and it'd be cool to record the show and listen to it later.
More from DCRTV: No Wilbon on the show and a female co-host.
Korny Does Burd - 1/26 - Yes, that was Washington Post superstar sports commentator Tony Kornheiser doing a phone-in with David Burd on Washington Post Radio, WTWP, on Friday morning. We're told it was pretty much a "lovefest" between the two. No big news, except that Kornheiser revealed that he's set his sights on having an unnamed female Postie as his cohost when he starts his 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM (followed by a 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM replay) show on 2/20. There was talk about his ESPN "PTI" cohost and fellow Postie joining him on the radio, but apparently Michael Wilbon wants way too much dough. Kornheiser did rage a bit about a certain unnamed local radio website, we're told. Oh, and not a word about Kornheiser's old radio home, SportsTalk 980, or about his feud with fellow Postie Paul Farhi, who slammed his "Monday Night Football" performance last summer.....
EDIT:
Korny thinks his show will "stink". From DCRTV.com
Korny Predicts WaPo Radio Show "Will Stink" - 2/5 - Via his Washington Post blog, superstar sports columnist Tony Kornheiser reveals more about his new Washington Post Radio show, which starts on 2/20: "I'll have Nigel with me. I'll have my friend, Nancy, with me. And we'll start at 8:30 in the morning and the show will stink. People who think that I'm somehow going to change the fortunes of Washington Post Radio are insane. The only thing I'll promise you is that when I'm on, there won't always be more to the story. In fact, there will always be less to the story. Nigel had an idea to bring in some stooge from WTOP and have him to news updates, so I could interrupt him and make him nuts. Of course, I thought that was a great idea, so maybe instead of just traffic and weather, we'll have some news. But it won't be front-page news. If you want front-page news, buy the paper".....
That's the great thing about the X-Men flicks. They've not only used great effects, but the acting is top-notch (Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Alan Cumming, etc.) ... the addition of Kelsey Grammer is welcome in these eyes ...
