Terkay was never in OVW. You might be thinking of Boris Alexiev, who is supposed to be a Russian guy that has defeated all of his opponents with the standing armbar. Boris is Anthony Carelli, who will forever be known at the guy Cornette slapped around.
Glad they're keeping Elijah Burke (for the moment at least). He's solid. Shame about the Bashams, however, as they never gave them a chance to do anything beyond being the flunkies for someone else.
They never seemed to give the Bashams a fair shake. They, especially Doug, seemed to have as much potential as Cena and Orton during their OVW days, but were never given the kind of opportunity that those guys had when they were called up.
It was dumb enough to make them brothers when they were in the middle of a heated feud in OVW. I know not everyone can watch OVW, but it was an insult to those who do. And then made them into a freaky gay version of Demolition when they debuted, which pretty much sank them right out of the gate. But those guys can go, but were never turned loose. TNA should be interested in them, but not may others on the list. Terkay never showed me much, to be honest.
Dean! Have you been shooting dope into your scrotum? You can tell me! I'm hip!

And there goes my chance to make a new sig with Elijah Burke and the caption "I'm super serial!"
I can see why they'd release Terkay, though. Vladimir Kozlov's about to debut and he has a similar look to Terkay. This is probably best for all parties. Terkay can try out for TNA, Burke can shine as a singles star, and Kozlov can take Terkay's "large bear-looking guy who makes you tap" role and go on about how much he likes Double Double E.
I had more hopes for Shane Twins. Gangrel isn't much of shock because I don't remember seeing him on TV since he showed up to take on Taker with Vis back year or more ago.
Funny thing is these guys might actually, if the WWE would've showcased them, have talent compared to the fired/rehired Boogeyman.

No way, where did you hear this? I ask because if Tazz does go, he totally has a career in radio. He has been on the NY station Free FM doing talk at 10PM all this week and has previously done try-out shows with Max "Around the Horn" Kellerman for the same station. Both shows have been great, with Tazz speaking on everything from sports, to pop culture to news and holding his own.

I think his deal is up in February or something and he's hard-balling WWE on his next contract because he CAN walk away to do radio. At least, that's the last word I heard, which was a few weeks ago.

Yup. Because when you need a cruiserweight jobber, it is a lot better to stick with the loyal guy who has been around for ages than the guy you would need to put $ in to develop and you rather not do it anyways.
Except for Terkay nothing comes as a true shock. I think it was obvious though that they weren't high on Terkay when it became 'The Elijah Experience' presents S.T. instead of "I am the cornerman of the MMA expert S.T."
I was always under the impression that Terkay was brought in as a favor to Angle since they were old wrestling pals, and that when Angle got canned Terkay was hanging by a thread. Isn't he in his late 30s?
Also, from what I understand Gangrel has really let himself go, and when WWE decided to can the Vampire angle they were really only interested in keeping him around as a trainer in OVW.
None of the names on the list really suprise me though. Won't really miss them. Yeah, if I was Tatanka I'd be sprucing up my resume.

Gangrel had been wrestling in Deep South under his real name David Heath, so they might have been trying to repackage him.
Danny Basham has been playing the "enforcer/matchmaker" in ovw lately, probably will continue doing it unless Cornette can get him signed in TNA.
Considering most of these cuts are in ecw I guess its time to speculate who is coming up to fill the spots. I hope they bring Burchill back up, he has been a total badass in Ovw for the last couple of months.

Wasn't Matt Morgan a total badass in OVW, only to be brought back with the stuttering gimmick?

Not surprised that Terkay's gone; everytime I saw him, I immediately had flashbacks to Dan Severn - a guy who could probably kick everyone's ass in a "real" fight, but in the staged world of pro wrestling was nothing but a complete bore in the ring.
Now Elijah, he has the natural charisma to make a name for himself in ECW (assuming he's sticking around and not the next in line to be released) ...

Maybe they should've announced they were going to cut a new person each day at the same time for the next two weeks and announce it on the webpage like they did with the Survivor Series matches.
I don't know how accurate they are with their news, but one of the guys on Between the Ropes said he has an inside source who works for WWE that says in the next few months the WWE is going to cut ties with OVW and Deep South and instead just have their own training facility in Stamford. I know they usually make cuts this time of year but maybe they are also thinning out some of the "prospects" in order to get ready to make that move.
Seth Skyfire was a great cruiserweight who feuded also with bigger wrestlers. He just lost the tv title to Bad Kompany and previously feuded with Charles Evans and Idol Stevens
Jack Bull is a comedy act that kind of rips off Super Dave Osborne with Steve Austin ex: Jack Bull comes to the ring drunk claiming he is gonna do all this crazy stuff but is too drunk, hilarity ensues. He just had a mini feud with Joey Mercury.
Ryan Silverback Reeves is in a tag team with John Bolen called "High Dosage" they just feuded with Bad Kompany. Kinda surprising release considering Reeves is HUGE and definitely has the look.
This was probably just poor planning on this dude's part, but I saw an Undertaker sign at Summerslam this year that read: Americ anBadass It was reminiscent of Foley's old commissioner t-shirt, but the humor was rather unintentional.
