It won't be confirmed until next week, but going by the Daily News (nydailynews.com), the new "regular-season games played overseas" experiment will begin with a Giants-Dolphins game at Wembley Stadium in London in either September or October.
Officially, all that's been announced is that the 2007 game will be in either England or Germany, and that the home team would be either Miami, New Orleans, Seattle, Buffalo, San Francisco, or Kansas City. The BBC says that if England is awarded the game, it would be held at either Wembley, due for an August opening, or at Twickenham, which is a rugby stadium. Going by the Daily News article, the finalists for the game are probably Giants-Dolphins and Bills-Dolphins, with the Giants getting more support from the local organizers.

I thought the "regular season games being played overseas experiment" was going to be the Patriots playing the Seahawks in China. Is that still on the table?
I can't imagine being a 300 pound lineman stuck on a plane for a 12 plus hour flight to Asia. That can't be good for your body.

Eli Manning to London? I guess they don't want to be asked back...

That's going to be a preseason game.

They better have the bye week either before or after they go overseas (I don't know which is more useful to them), otherwise this could ruin a team's season.
I'd guess there will be some promotional stuff associated with this game, and the NFL wants to keep this going, so the week before might be the best bet. They'll have the bye one of those weeks though. All the union has to do is raise high holy hell about no week off during this trip, and that'll kill this experiment dead.

Or it provides the Giants with a built-in excuse for their seemingly traditional second half plummet to occur. This hurts scalpers in Miami, as the Giants are a team that visits once every 8 years and there are many New York area transplants in the area. Television will be interesting, as it is a FOX game and you would think the NFL would want this to be sent throughout the country, not just as a New York and Miami market game, especially if both teams get off to poor starts. Would they go with a 9:15 PM local kick-off time in order to fit it into the late game television window? As for the problems with the union: Remember, this is the football union, not the baseball union. Gene Upshaw isn't Donald Fehr.

The formal announcement of the location as Wembley Stadium (news.bbc.co.uk) has been made.
It still looks like Dolphins-Giants, sounding like a 6 pm kickoff London time, which would slot it in nicely with the normal schedule, as that would be a 1pm kickoff in the East Coast. Though, the BBC article does say:
It will be played in its own time slot - around 1800 in London, rather than as part of the normal weekly group of matches - and its location will be highlighted with pictures of London landmarks such as Big Ben and Trafalgar Square throughout the broadcast.
So, maybe a Saturday afternoon game?
The full details of the game should be released sometime during Super Bowl week.

The Giants 2007 home games are against Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, Green Bay, Minnesota, New England, NY Jets, and San Francisco. Divisional matchups are probably out (too important), as are teams not in the Eastern time zone, so that limits it to New England and the Jets. As I heard someone say on another board, you'll know the NFL is serious about this thing when they make one of the league's premier teams (like New England, Philadelphia, or Indianapolis) go overseas. Rumor has it New England will play in a regular season game in China in a future season though. Either way, New England's out. The Jets are the only team left, and you can see why they wouldn't want to move Giants/Jets.
How does that work when the Jets "visit" the Giants? Do they use their own locker room? Does Giants Stadium have three locker rooms--Jets, Giants, and visitors? It would seem funny for a team that plays eight games there to have to keep moving their stuff. Imagine the uproar if the Giants had a road game against the Jets the same season their New Orleans road game was moved to their stadium. What if a Jets player danced on the Giants logo at midfield after the game. Would the Giants accuse him of disrespecting their "house" when it is the Jets' house as well? I've always found the two pro teams sharing one stadium thing so bizzare.
