If you were one of the 5 people that caught Eragon (don't get mad at the jab or else I'll roll my dice and try to cast mystical rain dragon on you) you may have seen this trailer. The CGI looks pretty good. As an original fan of the TMNT, I can't wait to see this. I'm sure the minor changes won't make a huge difference compared to the old movies. Besides one of the old movies starred Vanilla Ice! Shredder is rumored to be dead so I guess Kevin Nash is out too!

Karai is now leading the Foot clan. She's played by Zhang Ziyi. The other villain, Max Winters, is being voiced by Patrick Stewart.

In one of the most flagrant examples for celebrity stunt casting in a VA role, Chris Evans is playing Casey Jones.

Hey, it may be as dated now as having all that Prince music in the first Batman movie, but at the time my friends and I were all, "Oooooh, cool, they got Vanilla Ice to appear-- and rap!-- in TMNT 2!"

Also, I wanna see the new Turtles movie myself.

That's if you consider Chris Evans a celebrity. Which I don't. On account of I never heard of 'im.

Human Torch from Fantastic Four. I had to look it up, and I don't get how that's stunt casting.

Because it's picking a flavor of the month hot, young, live actor instead of picking a more pratical and experienced choice. And Casey Jones is the last thing I think when I see Chris Evans.

Hmm, maybe it looks better in motion, because I wouldn't use the word "good" to describe that screenshot.

And I still think it's a mistake to not shoot a live-action "TMNT" movie with just the Turtles (and Splinter) in CGI ...

Casey Jones work a mask in the original cartoon, right?

Alessandro has one heck of a screenshot in his post, but it's best viewed in its full size: click HERE to check it out. At least on my screen, the edges look slightly jagged in its smaller size. (ign.com)

Is the entire movie CGI? Or are there some human actors? If it's all CGI, I don't believe the choice of Chris Evans to VOICE Casey Jones would make a difference unless he's just a terrible voiceover artist. Evans is somewhat capable as an action star: I loved his work in Cellular, and I admit, I also like him in the Fantastic Four.

The entire movie is CGI. Casey Jones still has the mask in this movie, he's just maskless in that shot.

Also other than the turtles and Splinter, there are a lot of other creatures and monsters in the story. So it's not just the turtles and Splinter in CG.

As far as Evans goes, I don't believe he's done anything that proves he could play a competent Casey Jones. At least not anything close to the level of Elias Koteas.

3 Seasons of Captain N and the Game Master! Awesome! Wish there were more older cartoons though.
