It's slang that originated with one of the characters (Dr. Miranda Bailey) from Grey's Anatomy. She was about to give birth and was getting help from a doctor (Addison) and an intern (George, I think). While she was being examined in the stirrups, she told the intern to "stop looking at my va-jay-jay."
That's all from memory, so anyone feel free to correct me if the situation isn't 100% accurate.

I'm pretty sure I heard that before the show was even on the air, though I could be mistaken.
