Wow. What an episode!

I love Ando - he's such a great foil for Hiro.

So, the Haitian can speak English! Great line how he had mindwiped Mrs. Bennett so... many... times. But why is he going against Daddy Bennett?

Poor Claire - losing her best friend like that.

Loved Parkman in this episode - how he was determined to plow through the Haitian's blocking ability and then did so. Also, the feedback loop between Peter and Parkman was *fantastic*. I wasn't expecting that, but it was a great explanation!

Sylar - wow. When he pulled Eden through the glass, that was pretty brutal. Quick thinking on her part to prevent him from gaining her power though. But will he be on the loose now, or is there still some additional security outside the cell?

Yeah, I felt bad for Claire losing a friend as well as a confidante.

I'm not really prepared to think about Peter being the bomb.

I like how Sylar didn't really resist Eden's persuasion; it never got to the point where he had to obey (because the order was "I'm putting this in the drawer; you're going to pick it up from the drawer and shoot yourself" and she never got a chance to put it in the drawer). Not really sure how he was able to use his abilities then but not earlier though.

I was sure that everything Sylar was doing could be explained with TK (bullets do nothing, flight), but they've made it abundantly clear that he definitely is collecting. However, what power does he have that stops the bullets? She was going to get him to shoot himself, yet he told her that he knew that she knew she wasn't going to be able to shoot him. So it seems that "hard skin" is ruled out, so is it still TK?

I'm thinking way too hard about this. :)

I'm not sure that Peter is the bomb... I still think it's Radio-Active Man that will blow up New York. Peter puts himself into his dreams... When he first was dreaming about flying, he saw himself flying though it was his brother who had that power...

Loved it!!

great episode and again questions answered and answers questioned.....

Looked to me like Peter was wearing Sylar's coat in his dream but who's power(s) was/were Peter channeling when he collapsed ?

I had just started to like Eden after seeing her flashback last week - smart girl to blow out her brains - let's see Sylar fix that......

why wipe Claire's mind of her memory of her power ? As soon as she cuts herself again she will know that she will heal - maybe the Haitian realizes that - and yes, he does speak.......

Parkman didn't have a great day but at least his partner thinks he's cute....

Niki/Jessica/DL/Micah - what does this storyline have to do with anyone else's storyline and why should we care ?

and is Hiro getting ready to eventually face a shapeshifter we have yet to meet ? He really needs that sword.......

I was wondering where they were going with respect to how close Claire and Zack were getting. I'm glad that Zack's mindwipe was the payoff.

Was it just me or did Peter not get sick until Mr. Bennett showed up? I find the timing odd.

The Haitian needs his own sitcom. He runs around with his friends never talking around them. Of course, at some point he stubs his toe and exclaims, or his friends throw him a surprise party and he screams, and he winds up having to mindwipe them so that they forget he can speak.

Or what if the Haitian has no mindwipe ability, and once he's alone with everyone, he just tells them "Can you keep a secret? Good. Pretend I just mindwiped you."

I guess every half season we'll get some catchphrase to drive the plot. "Are you on the list?" Hooray for marketing!

Two words:

The. Haitian.

That, and I don't think Watch-Boy was in any shape to fight after falling down during his fight with Peter.

Actually I thought maybe Sylar let them capture him. Why not figure out where Bennett's hideout is and in the meantime zap the powers out of him, Eden, and the Haitian when they least expect it.

I'm sorry to see Eden go because I liked the character and the actress but it was surprising I'll give them that. I thought they'd probably kill Isaac (or maybe I was just hoping).

Here's a theory that me and my brother have been working on - maybe Peter doesn't completely lose the power that he "borrows" once he breaks off contact with one of the other "heroes". Maybe there's some residual power that sticks with him (like in the first episode, when he claimed that his foot hovered above the ground for a split-second when getting out of bed, even though his brother wasn't around ... or when the police were about to surround him after his fall with Sylar, he was able to snap his foot back into place without pain even though the cheerleader was long gone), and being in contact with all of the heroes at once in his dream caused an overload.

Sounds like a good theory to me - he was probably still groggy once he came to, then (when he realized where he was and who he was dealing with) he decided to play possum until the time was right to strike.

My guess on Skylar is that he used his initial ability to figure things out, and figured out how the room was negating his powers and how to get around the safeguards.

But if the room was negating his abilities, then he shouldn't be able to figure out how it was negating his abilities.

OMG YOU JUST BLEW MY MIND!!!!

My theory is that the Haitian was the one who was negating his powers. He seems to have the ability to "cancel" parts of people's brains, whether temporarily in the case of powers, or permanently in case of memories.

Sylar only had a couple seconds to even realize there was someone in front of him when he was kidnapped. Unless he walks around thinking "I'm going to pull the skull off of anyone I see" he's probably quite happy to just bump into her and walk away and didn't realize what was going on until after she had already started talking to him.

I don't think he let himself be captured on purpose in order to find their headquarters because unless I missed part of an episode, I don't think he even knew that they existed, much less that they were coming after him or that they had a headquarters to begin with. He also didn't wake up and say "Now that I know where you're headquarters is, I'm leaving" or anything. He was trapped there.

And I also like the idea that the reason her powers didn't work on Sylar was that he never gave her the chance to put the gun in the drawer for him to kill himself with.

Why would the Haitian wipe Claire's memory "so" many times but not now? I'm guessing that this is the first time that someone has come after her to kill her, and he probably recognizes that her dad is in over his head with Sylar. If he can cancel powers, he can probably tell how powerful a person is.

FYI, read the graphic novel over at nbc.com this week; it will clear up the Eden/Sylar arc.

Just thought you should know. And I thought it was the Haitian that mindwiped Claire's mom many times. Analyze that one as you like. :D

As I saw it, Eden turned off the power-dampening field (the device outside the door) to be able to use her Voice, and Sylar was like "Snap, I guess powers do work in this room" and then OH NO GLASS TO THE FACE

I was kind of expecting her to pull a Dayna from King's "The Stand" and slit her own throat on the shattered window edges to kill her brain activity before Sylar could munch her cerebellum. Too grotesque for primetime, maybe, but hey, if they split Claire from neck to navel, anything's possible.

Well how did he know about Claire? I assume he found out about them from Shoresh's files. So he could do the same with anybody else who has powsers.

Bingo.

Y'know, I know it's the cool thing to imagine, but I don't think he's actually eating the brains, rather studying them and altering his DNA appropriately. How he's doing *that* beats me. I think she actually had to destroy the physical brain so he couldn't study it.

As for the Haitian, he definitely said he had wiped Mom Bennett so many times, not Claire.

I'm not buying that argument ... if that was the case, then wouldn't Claire's dad have the Haitian watching Sylar's cell 24 hours a day?

Of course, this is the same guy who grounded his daughter to keep her from getting killed, then didn't have the foresight to guard her room on the off-chance that, oh I don't know, she decided to act like a teenage girl and sneak out the window.

The thing about Claire's mom was weird. If Claire only recently started learning about her abilities, as the 6 Months Ago flashback and her recent escapades with the camcorder would suggest, how many opportunities would there have been for Claire's mom to find out and then get wiped? And if the mom had become aware, then Claire must have known that her mom knew, so wouldn't she have noticed the memory loss like she did with her brother and her pal? Odd.

My guess would be that Claire's mom had her mind wiped not for Claire's powers but for Claire's Dad's powers which have not yet been revealed to us.

Why does it have to be because Mr. Bennett has powers? Missed your anniversary? Call the Haitian. Forget to take out the trash last night? Call the Haitian. Leave the toilet seat up again? Call the Haitian. Mindwiping may be my most favourite power ever!
