My pick: Cheers, the end of season four, in May 1986. Sam picks up the phone and proposes marriage to...whom? Janet? Diane? One of the best sitcoms of all-time at its peak, back when there really was such a thing as "must-see" TV.
Originally posted by StaggerLeeIt wasn't a season ending episode, but the one where the Six Million Dollar Man fights Bigfoot was pretty traumatic to me as a kid. I don't remember ever getting that hyped up for a show, and see TO BE CONTINUED on the screen really pissed me off.
Same here. Was that Andre the Giant playing Bigfoot ?
Originally posted by QuezzyI also I'd say 24 last year. The show is King of Cliffhangers but never did one at the end of a season until last year.
Correct me if I'm wrong (and I am probably wrong), but wasn't there a cliffhangar of sorts after the second season when President Palmer was shaking hands with the people and then fell over. It was concluded the next year that he had gotten the disease by the contact with his hand.
On topic and to add to the rest of most of you, my mind immediately went to ST:TNG.

I liked the ones where Sam leaped into himself as a kid and the one where he and Al switched places. I'm pretty sure those were both season enders.
The last half of Angel's fourth season was 24-esque in its cliffhangers to end each episode. Angel was a really underrated show, and just got better with each season.
Lost has had about 20 great cliffhangers, but my personal favourite is the one where Michael shot Ana Lucia and Libby, and then turned the gun on himself. I had heard rumours that Michelle Rodriguez was leaving the show, but nothing about Cynthia Watros. Plus, it was shocking enough just to see good-guy Michael turn heel.
The season-finale of Friends when Ross said Rachel's name instead of his bride's at the altar. That was pretty awesome.

Battlestar Galactica. *SO* many moments in Battlestar Galactica. A notable one is the end scene of Battlestar Galactica Season 1. WOW. Man I need to get me some Season 3.
24 the first two seasons also had some.....however it loses some of the effect when you watch them all on DVD nearly back to back to back.
Yes, I finally have updated the Troll Moment of the Week! This week is brought to you by ;
"STONEBOY!" , who brought us the following such pieces of wisdom as:
STONEBOY!: "THIS GOES MESSAGE GOES OUT TO ALL CANADIANS ESPECIALLY MONTREAL WHEREVER THE F#CK THAT IS".
Kidbrooklyn: "Please god tell me that you're making fun of the douche who started this thread...
Wait, no he isn't. He's serious. I hadn't read his previous brilliance before. I apologize" (in reference to a reply by James1978).
There is an amazing cliff in my area. I go and sit there, admiring the view. I've done it since I was a teenager, and I've actually left little items there in the cracks, kind of as tokens or mementos. There is a lot of me invested there.
