I was a teenager when MASH came out. One of the great movies of the era.

I'm partial to The Player.

A truly innovative voice in film, he will be missed.

For all of the (justifiable) bellyaching over Scorsese not having an Oscar, it's equally ridiculous that Altman was not honoured. Prairie Home Companion was a fittingly wonderful note to go out on. RIP, Robert Altman

I wasn't particularly partial to his work, especially the stuff that got major recognition (i.e., M*A*S*H*), but he was a significant voice in film history. I did enjoy McCabe and Mrs. Miller, mostly because of his crazy inovative use of sound recording and mixing in it.

Ah, I miss Cleveland's racial humor on this show. I'm a little surprised that FG's already starting to recycle material. I liked this better when it was Lois learning martial arts. But I forgave this one when I saw where they were going with it.
