Jeez, this could really bust the show open. I really dug this episode:

• "Lazy Scranton"
• "Take a picture, it'll last longer"... and Creed does just that
• Phyllis and her perfume
• Kevin and the paper shredder (Especially at the end)
• Andy and Dwight. "You drive an Ex-Earth"
• Andy and Angela flirting

I'm losing track, but I thought this was a pretty damned good episode. This season is really getting on track. There's a lot of potential here.

I thought it was the best episode they ever did. Andy Bernard coming to Scranton is the greatest development since sliced bread was developed.

Whoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

-Jim/Karen apparently involved (or very close to it).
-Jealous Pam~!
-Merideth denied booze.
-Kevin denied food.
-Kelly loves celebrities.
-Ryan's not nice, but keeps his desk.
-Dwight vs. Andy for POWER~!
-"There's no pay increase." "Yes, there IS." "Oh."
-Creed vs. The Breast Pump Lady
-Big Fat Quitter
-Stanley & Martin (other black guy) bond over Michael hate.
-LAZY SCRANTON.
-Only criticism: no warehouse guys (Jim's back, but we don't see Roy's reaction? WTF?).
-Phyllis smells like pine.
-"Does Bob Vance work for Vance Refrigeration?"

Please please please let Karen stick around for the full season. PLEASE.

NEXT WEEK: No episode.
WEEK AFTER THAT: The Gervais & Merchant episode finally airs, as Michael is SHOCKED as it turns out one of the new employees has a criminal past! Who wants to bet he accuses Martin (the black guy)?

I personally thought last week's episode was better, but it was good nonetheless.

Considering the way Jim and Karen went back inside after the tire thing, the phone call before he left the parking lot, and telling Pam that he's seeing someone else, I would conclude they are already past apparently involved.

The paper shredder salad moment topped it all for me. "Where'd you get that salad?" "Staples."

I was thinking it would come out later that shredding was the very last thing Kevin was supposed to do with the items in that box, but all it turned out to be was some clever product placement. Still, another fine episode (although at an alleged airtime of about 45 minutes, it sure seemed at times like it was just a whole lot more ads as opposed to more show)

Yeah, the Staples placement was rather blatant. (As has been the case with Chili's and the iPod in episodes past.) 30 Rock opened with a joke about product placement right after that. At least if they can make it funny it isn't quite as annoying as it otherwise could be. ("I need Nissan Versa!")

I LOVED Pam's expression when she saw Karen touching Jim's back. It was the same look of shock she's had when she found out other Office secrets, but mixed with a slight bit of pain. Perfect.

Awesome episode.

Anyone else catch that Michael referred to "Reverend King" when using the phrase "Can't We All Just Get Along?" ...

I thought that Stanley giving Martin the grimace/head shake after Martin's look was hilarious. Poor, poor friggin Tobey. "Oh, is that a new thing?" It was disappointing to see the fat guy quit - probably a lot of good material went with him - but having to give him severance pay was funny.

Common, your trying to tell me you didn't study the "Can't we all get just get along" speach in highschool.

The slavery comment to Martin was classic Michael.

I agree with CRZ though, I'm guessing the only real extra we saw with the extra "15 minutes" was the joy of shredding.
Also, didn't we see in take your daughter to work day that Pam's only job perk was shredding?

Better yet was the v/o from Michael:

"This is egregious!"

Great moment there.

Also funny -- Karen recording her voice mail greeting with Jim. You know with the "I'm sorta seeing someone at the moment" meant "I'm tapping that ass over at Karen's."

Another classic. Andy vs. Dwight is more interesting than any potential match up for Wrestlemania.
I am not sure if we are supposed to dislike Karen, but is hard to do so. I hope she stays around too. I just hope she doesn't get the same level of hate that Julie did on Friends when Ross came back from Japan with her.
And while this is one of the more subtle, slow burn romances I can remember on TV, I hope it doesn't take over the story lines. It might mean less Stanley and Creed, and that's not good.

HAHA so true... get your checkbook out Vince. I'm starting to get the feeling that the moment Pam is happy (which basically means "with Jim") the show will lose it's luster and become boring. So for that reason I hope they never actually get together and the show leaves us with them just never working out.

Am I just a little misunderstood or did Vance Refridgeration's purchase of the warehouse stay intact dispite Scranton staying afloat? Or was Michael just citing them since they are located in the same building.

Ed Helms rules all.

* "Isn't that Josh's computer?" "What?"
* The details of his fool-proof strategy to gain power.
* The never-ending handshake with Dwight.

Loved the salad shredder at the end as well.

This show is freakin' sweet.

Did Breast Pump Lady quit? or was she just venting frustration at Michael? I have no problem with her quiting as I do not want her to take time away from the other players.

Also, I LOVED Meredith's reaction when she saw the booze and her disappointment when told none for her! That was great.

And Phyllis getting pissy at Karen for not knowing who Bob Vance is.

And when the fat guy said he was quitting, Michael immediately said if it was becasue of Toby. God, Michael REALLY hates Toby.

I don't think Michael consistently blaming Toby for everything, shooting him down when he gives good advice, and outright ignoring him will ever get old. Ever.

"Dwight may have won this battle, but I will win...the next, battle."

Combining what Creed did in the cut stuff from the last episode, with his behavior in this and he's becoming more of the man with each episode.

Hell, *every* reaction from a Scranton branch member to the newbies was great. Andy vs Dwight, though, is going to take the cake. I do wonder now, will Jim continue to prank only Dwight or is Andy now included?

I take life one step at a time. Like a carpenter. Who builds stairs.

I hope they keep Jim and Pam apart-if not for good, at least for a while-because I already saw this story, and things got extremely boring once Ross and Rachel finally hooked up.

I like the whole role reversal between Pam and Jim now that he is the one in a relationship and she is the one longing after him.

Andy vs Dwight was and will be great. It also give Jim and Pam two targets instead of just one. Neither one letting up on the handshake was great. Both so desperate to be the alpha-male.

I get the feeling that Jim and Pam will just go back to business as usual next week, with only the occasional jealous glances by Pam. The two of them making fun of Dwight is one of the best parts of the show, and they need that back. Then they string the love story along slowly over the next year or so, now that the wedding/Roy are out of the way.

This episode was kind of disappointing. It fulfilled my expectations, but good lordy, there was TOO MUCH MICHAEL in it. I can handle only so much of his antics. Lazy Scranton was good, though.

Andy/Dwight is awesome. Their exchange at the end of the episode ruled all.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Karen and Jim work out.
