Was really a no contest for Verlander, who beat out Jonathon Papelbon by 70 votes.

It was closer in the NL, as Ramirez beat out Ryan Zimmerman of the Nats by just four votes. I'm just happy a Marlin won it- I kinda thought they'd cancel each other out. It looked like Uggla would win it for most of the season, but Ramirez came on real strong late.

I'm suprised the Marlins didn't cancel each other out too, especially since it was such a close vote. The Mets might have cruised this year but the East is loaded with young talent with all the Marlins, Zimmerman, Howard, Franceour and McCann and Wright and Reyes. If any division is going to try and make the NL look more formidable to the AL then it's probably that divison over the next couple of years at least.

Last I checked an NL team won the World Series. A best of seven. Are you saying that was a fluke?

Hold nothing sacred and you'll never be dissapointed. Especially not this statement.

I think part of what he's referring to is the All-Star Game, for one.

He also might be referring to the fact that, including the World Series, the AL teams were 155-102 against the NL teams this year, which is a slightly larger sample size and includes more than two teams.
