Nobody's even bothered to start a Raw thread, almost an hour after the show ended? Can't say I blame you guys.

Welcome to the Hunter and Shawn show! Starring Hunter and Shawn, plus a bunch of losers! World champion? Oh, he's the guy getting the crap beaten out of him in the semi-main. Forget him.

I mean, really, this was just insufferable. I clicked off around the women's match, and probably should have done it sooner. I'm not a Masterpiece fan by any means, but you don't have to be to see how schizophrenic it is to spend an entire segment building him up -- and then have Hunter punk him out in fifteen seconds.

As for the "I speak jive" scene ... yeah, Shawn, you're no Barbara Billingsley. Okay, it was funny hearing Shawn say "We need down low," but not for the reason intended. Gotta wonder if the WWE writing staff, let alone the extremely Christian Mr. Michaels, know what that term can mean.

And the followup to Eugene turning on Hacksaw is ... nothing? That's some quality writing and attention to detail right there.

Okay, something positive. Nitro-Hardy was perfectly acceptable, although they've done better, and a ladder match between the two of them will get me to tune in next week. But how many times can they pass the title back and forth?

And if positioning Kenny as the asshole who thinks he's better than his partners is what it takes to get him out of the Spirit Squad, I'm all for it. At this point, I've given up on the Squad ever getting over and I'm just rooting for *one* wrestler to survive that death spiral of a gimmick.

I'm torn between being happy that CM Punk will likely be in a PPV main event...and disappointed that the WWE Champion is being treated as an afterthought in the 3rd or 4th biggest show of the year.

Wow, with the "throw up" bit and the "Siegfried and Roy" comment, I feel DX is so fresh and edgy. I think we need Stewie to go on a "Weakest Link"-like rant....Are we as fans supposed to believe that Cade, Murdoch, Vis and Haas will take down DX, when they've failed so many times before?....OK, the DX/Spirit Squad backstage skit was kinda funny....

SS/Highlanders was all right, and I liked Kenny sacrificing Johnny for the win....The thing with Eugene was funny too....I still can't believe they're giving Cena/Umaga away for free....Surprised at the title change. It was a sound match, and the finish was unexpected....I'm surprised Edge and Orton won the titles. I thought Piper and Flair would have them at least through Survivor Series.

I tuned out after the second "we're gonna have to put up with this all night" skit.

Man this show has gone shitty quick.

DX is awful. Geemoney, you're right on the money. I remember something like 5 years ago, a NETWORK television sitcom took the opportunity to make the comment that "shizzle" speak was out. Throwing up in one's mouth is about as hack-y as it gets as well.

So, so terrible. How do they manage to get back to the ring? Eh, who knows. It's DX ex machina week after week and I'm sick of it.

I liked the Hardy-Nitro match, but was disappointed at how it kind of buried Nitro's impressive finisher. If Hardy's Swanton is a match-ender, Jeff should not have been able to kickout of a similar high-risk move.

Eugene might be the nicest heel ever if he doesn't drop his "special" gimmick. I felt kind of bad for him in his one appearance of the night. He doesn't know any better! He can't stop hurting himself!
I'm envisioning a gimmick involving a helmet and water wings not unlike D-Lo's chest protector from 1998.

But I'm still not tired of seeing Triple H smile. After years of his boring grunty I AM THE GAME shit it's nice to see him doing anything else.

I wish they'd give Cena something more important, too! Doesn't anyone on Raw want to be the WWE champion? Umaga looked stupid flailing his arms around doing the "ohhhh mannnn I'm sooo off balance! I'm about to falll ooooverr! one more clothesline miiiight dooo iiiit" thing because he was barely leaning, so he just kind of was standing there looking like he was doing some kinda silly dance.

Annnnd I don't think I've not switched over to the Daily Show at 11 since they had the triple threat for the WWE title that Edge won. Can't wait to see what kind of sexual fetishy stipulation Lita comes up with for Mickie James next week. "The bad news, Mickie, is that you have to wrestle this match in a skin tight lycra bodysuit!"

I thought the show was funny, and entertaining on the whole.

Either that or I was hypnotized by Umaga's entrance.

The show was crap. As much as I hated DX when the night started, I hate them even more when the show ended. How many wrestlers did they bury last night or make look bad? Haas(1), Viscera (2), Cade (3), Murdoch (4), Spirit Squad (7), The Masterpeice (8), Eugene (9), Cryme Tyme (11) and RKO (13). Throw in Coach (14) if you want and that's 14 wrestlers who either: couldn't beat DX in the ring (4), could ambush DX out of the ring (5), looked like bit players out of the ring (3) and were scared off (2) before DX hit the ring. I menad for once I would like to see some B-level talent get together and just brutalize them. Would anyone have a problem with the scenario if the Spirit Squad, Cade and Murdoch and haas and Viscera all got together back stage and agreed to split the money and then all jumped DX and just clobbered them? At least then we could have DX off screen the folloiwng week and when they come back, the methodically dismantle each of them in the ring each week. THAT would be beleiveable and would give DX something to do.

And Cena? We all know that this beatdown will just mean him showing up on ECW tongiht and joingin forces with RVD to beat up the Big Show.

As each day passes, I become less and less inclined to buy SS.

Cena cheered on an ECW show? Madness.

I flipped between the show and the football game, and lost all interest in RAW when Show and Umaga squashed Cena. And that was about halfway into the show.

Remember when Cade and Murdoch were physically dissimilar? Cade has gotten HUGE.

Fun show and certainly needed after last week's heel favored disaster of a Raw. A lot of the DX skits worked for me, with the Cryme Time interaction being a highlight.

Oh, and how did DX make Cryme Time look bad? Oh, and Coach isn't a wrestler. Oh, and you guys are way too bitchy this week.

The DX skits that I saw were better than the ones a few months ago at least. Not to say they were funny, just better.
Since the glory days of the NWA and ECW, I have been a fan of tag wrestling, and am at least glad we have a feud between DX and RKO for the tag belts, they have been tarnished for way too long now.
And before someone says the tag belts are below these 4 guys, remember that we all loved it on SD! in '02 when Benoit and Angle were feuding with Edge and Rey for the belts. I am not one who believes belts drag a man down, I think the man can elevate the belt. And if they are smart (which they are not) they will build up another team while this feud goes on to eventually be put over by the winner.

This was a GREAT show live. Man, I'm really starting to hate some smark fans. After sitting in front of a guy who insisted on chanting "TNA" and "We Want Angle" at every turn, and hearing his illogical booking complaints, I'm ready to punch the next guy who goes on a workrate rant. The douche started chanting "We Want Christian" when Edge came out, and complained that Nitro using a ladder was illogical because the two weren't booked for a ladder match at that point. Seriously. Why pay for a ticket to a show to act like such a smart-alecky twat?

And guess what, guys: DX are over. Super-massive over. The place came unglued for them last night. And hey, a lot of their comedy was funny. I'm not a fan of the stuff they've been doing for the past month or so, but the physical-comedy bits with the SS and Eugene were really well done, and the Cryme Tyme skit was worth a giggle. And hey, we're now complaining that Cena is an afterthought after MONTHS of bitching over his omnipresence? Aside from the fact that Cena ISN'T an afterthouht, and was simply not given the usual half-hour show chunk that he usually is, that's just fucked.

The only thing I really had a beef with was re-establishing the Masterlock then using Masters as a comedy figure immediately afterward. That was dumb.

To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Seems only we Brits liked a Raw from as the Americans say 'our own backyard'.

Apparently the crowd were leaving quite early seems to be an all too common feature in English soccer lately.

Great to see title changes over here. Might have been more amusing had Triple H given Eugene a Bounty chocolate bar instead of the kitchen roll.

At least they didn't put a bus and phone box on stage and talk about fish and chips and the Queen watching in Buckingham Palace as WWE folk often do !

I contemplated asking this last week, but decided not to thinking it was just me. But since I see it again this week I gotta ask, "is it just me, or has Masters gained a lot of his body mass back?" Did he get back on the juice, did he find a new supplement. Either way he looks pre-Wellness swoll.

Cryme Time's skit was great. Vince was right for once. Sure it borders on some racist shit, but they're so over the top in what they do it's hilarious.

Not much else happening, then again, with the majority of Raw in traditional Survivor Series matches that are interpromotional, there's not a whole lot they need to do.

How did they look bad? The hype for these guys was HUGE and now they are relaegated to scalping tickets outside the arena for a event that is halfway over and they have a stack of tickets left? So they are not good enough to wreslte AND they can;t scalp ticket sot a sold out show BEFORE the show starts? And you can not understand a word they say? And this makes them look good? If they are Cryme Tyme, shouldn't THEY be the ones out for the $10K? Or at least trying to steal it? The Cryme Tyme gimmick was perfectly set up for THEM to come into Coach's office and distract him and steal the money. Not DX.

And Coach? He looks like a boob because he falls for DX sincerity AND loses the $10K. And this does not make him look BAD?

That's how.

I thought the same thing about Masters. He doesn't appear to be very bright, so I would guess his dumb ass is back on the juice.
Maybe I am one of the few, but I like the way the SS card is stacking up. It has a nice old school feel with the tag matches, and a few solid singles matched. I am sure Kennedy goes over Taker this time, hence the first blood, no pin necessary stipulation. When was the last time Taker actually was pinned? Angle at NWO?

Overall I didn't think it was a super great show, but the IC title race continues to be the highlight for me. Hardy + Nitro + ladder = YES. I wish they'd stop having Carlito screw around with Torrie Wilson and get him back in the mix, too. Carlito is basically filling the Chris Jericho slot, so like Jericho he really ought to be in a title chase most of the time. Thought the rest of the show was just kind of there, although I thought the Umaga/Cena match was pretty bad. Cena seemed like he was about half speed to me.

It keeps up the comedic Cryme Tyme gimmick in a way that completely fits with their previous character. You're REALLY stretching the notion of "burying" if you think that skit did them damage. Edge and Orton won the tag titles then scarpered when the faces arrived, something that heels have been doing since the sawn of time. And you're bitching that DX made COACH look bad? WTF?

Of all the people that DX "buried" last night, only two or three are worth a damn at this point anyway. Cade and Murdoch could be good for the tag division, and Masters maaaaaybe still had somevalue in him. Eugene? He's been meaningless for months. The three dead-weight Spirit Squad members have always been one step away from jobberdom. Ditto Haas and Vis. Shit, when did jobber empathy become the norm? Who cries for Funaki and Scotty on SmackDown? Where can I sign up for the Mike Bell fanclub?
