So we can go back and laugh at this:

MVP: LeBron James
Rookie: Brandon Roy
Coach: Sam Mitchell... just kidding... Brian Hill

Finals: Mavericks over Cavaliers (should I be worried that I'm picking the same thing as Greg Anthony?)

Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"

Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"

Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"

Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."

I could be VERY wrong on this...

MVP: Kobe Bryant
Rookie: Adam Morrison
Coach: Mike Dunleavy

I'll probably come back here in six months and wonder what the hell I was thinking.

TEN YEARS AGO IN WRESTLING HISTORY: OCTOBER 1996
WWF: Mankind d. Undertaker in the first ever Buried Alive match at...WWF Buried Alive. Also, Steve Austin continued his efforts to bring Bret Hart back to the ring by turning on Brian Pillman, shattering his ankle in what to this day is known as "Pillmanizing".

WCW: Hulk Hogan d. Randy Savage in a main event no one cared about, but Roddy Piper came out immediately after to end Halloween Havoc with a bang. The Outsiders won their first WCW Tag Team titles by beating Harlem Heat.

I'll also throw in Ron Artest as Defensive Player of the Year and Mike Miller as Sixth Man of the Year and I'll say Spurs over Bulls mainly because hardly anyone is picking Duncan as MVP and he should get something.

MVP: AK-47. I really think this is the year he puts it all togethr and stays healthy and averages 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks a game.

ROY: I do not see a dominant rookie this year and this could be one of those years where someone starting a steady wins the award. Unbelievalby, I am going off the board and taking Renaldo Balkman of the Knicks. At 1-3, they are alrwady out of the playoffs (no, really) and I think Isiah, who only good trait is an eye for talent, will move to a younger lineup in hopes that progress will be made during the season and he can convonce Dolan to let him stay one more year due to the youth movement.

COY: Phil Jackson. The Lakers are deep and will make a run at the Western title only because all the palyers on the team wil have bought into the Phil way of playing.

TITLE: Lakers over Cavaliers. Lebron and Kobe make this a rating MONSTER for the NBA.

Seeing as how this is the first time in years that the Hawks have been over .500, let me take this opportunity (which may disappear again in a matter of days) to say WOOHOO!!!! Hawks in '07!

(Hey, they play in the Southeast. It could happen!)

Well, I wouldn't call him a 'coveted' free agent. The ratio of Europeans that actually live up to the hype is about 1 to every six that fail miserably. Any teams out there desperate enough for point help that Eddie Gill will be seen as a big upgrade?
