It's over for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. The pop star and her rapper-dancer husband, who married in 2004, are divorcing. Spears filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court Tuesday.
So should this technically go in the "Pro Wrestling" folder?
But seriously, let's hope this puts K-Fed down the road to obscurity that he so richly deserves. And hey, maybe there's hope for Katie Holmes.
(edited by It's False on 7.11.06 1423) TEN YEARS AGO IN WRESTLING HISTORY: OCTOBER 1996 WWF: Mankind d. Undertaker in the first ever Buried Alive match at...WWF Buried Alive. Also, Steve Austin continued his efforts to bring Bret Hart back to the ring by turning on Brian Pillman, shattering his ankle in what to this day is known as "Pillmanizing".
WCW: Hulk Hogan d. Randy Savage in a main event no one cared about, but Roddy Piper came out immediately after to end Halloween Havoc with a bang. The Outsiders won their first WCW Tag Team titles by beating Harlem Heat.
You know... Chris Rock just divorced from his wife... coincedence? I DON'T THINK SO. Just remember, you heard it here first.... (although I think I would pay $2000 to see Rock and Spears walk the red carpet hand in hand at the next MTV Music Awards. I think that would officially make Justin Timberlake's head explode)
This is from PWInsider.com:
Several gossip sites are reporting that Spears left Federline days ago after he snapped into a rage, screaming at Spears and destroying property. The reason for the outburst was apparently because Spears laughed at a tape of Federline's WWE appearances.
Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"
Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"
Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"
Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."
That PWInsider thing has to be bullshit, because if anything, she would have kept his ass around as an acting coach. His line delivery has been far better then the entire film CROSSROADS, and having seen that shit dozens of times, I think I can call myself an expert on the subject.
Has anyone heard from DunknDollaz yet? I hope he's taking this as well as possible... it must really suck to have been dumped by his meal ticket via text message while being a show for MuchMusic... shit buddy, that's rough. Hang in there guy, you'll make it, we'll still accept you around here.

"That's the thing: Maybe he'll be up and down this season, but when he's up, is there another center in the league quite like him? He protects the rim, passes out of double teams, has great hands around the basket, up-fakes on his jump-hooks, rebounds in traffic, even has a motor that keeps going and going (unlike a stiff like Eddy Curry). I'm not sure what's missing here. This is stunning. This is startling. There's almost no precedent for it. Just what the Lakers needed: More obscenely good luck. Meanwhile, I have to watch Al Jefferson whip jump-hooks off the front of the rim for the third straight season. I will now pour scalding hot water down my pants." -Bill Simmons on Andrew Bynum (11/08/06)
Headstones reviews are hard to write. They're really fun shows, but more or less the same every time out. You know it'll be loud, lots of swearing, probably some spitting (though this has been dialed this back over time and I can't say I mind)
