ooooooer.

You gotta love it when your team comes out and decides to play pond hockey in game seven.

(I have to hand it to Carolina, they're taking every advantage)

Doug Gilmour breaking the penalty box glass with his door slam was awesome. I think the announcers were right about the ghosts being angry.

Edit: Before Game 2 of the Flyers-Ottawa series I was sitting in Victor's eating dinner and discussing the playoffs. I called the Hurricanes Stanley Cup contenders and they laughed at me. Guess who is eating crow now.

4 wins from the Stanley Cup finals, the Carolina Hurricanes.

Who would have thunk it. At the beginning of the playoffs, the Hurricanes looked like the only weak team of the East. Plus you have to figure that whoever they get from Ottawa-Toronto will be mighty tired.

Just watched the end of the game. A very classy move for Therrien to put Theodore in for the last minute of the game, and classy for the Canes to just play out the game.

The Canadiens have nowhere to go but up next year. And congrats to the Whalers/Hurricanes for their first visit to the semi-finals. Well deserved.

Can San Jose take that big next step as well tonight? And will the Leafs be able to bounce back from being put down by Ric Flair tonight?

I can hardly believe it. But all my support goes to Caroline now.
Anyone want to bet on how long before the coach is fired.

It's Montreal, and it's hockey. The only other place that comes close is New York (Yankes) and baseball. That's all I have to say about the coaching situation. I'm happy with the seasn though, and maybe next year we won't set ANOTHER record for man-games lost to injury.

And inspite of the last two games, I still mantian the Theodore desevres the Hart Trophy. Without him, Les Habs wouldn't have even made it INTO the playoffs.

I now throw my support to the Sens, because I have lots of family in Ottawa. That and I live in Sens country =)

WHOOOOOOOO! I don't think I can leave the apartment tomorrow. I was out and about today in my Hurricanes jersey, and the people at the convinient store were all quick to point out the jersey and give me hell. I've been wearing this thing for the past three years and this is the FIRST time anyone's said anything.

8-2, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. I hope to god they land the Leafs next round, if only so my best friend and I can REALLY get into some loud arguments.

Erik Cole is amazing.

Hell yeah, baby! Nothing like a MAN-SIZED beating to clinch a series.

The Ron Francis rookie card sits in its glory on top of my TV.

Q: If you could have interviewed Marvin Gaye, where would you have proposed to meet and what would you have asked him?

A: I would have met anywhere as long as it was before his father shot him. I would have asked him, "Hey, don't you think there's some chance that your father might shoot you? To death, I mean?"

That game was over so quickly I had to watch Fear Factor and RAW until the Avs-Sharks game came on. The WhalerCanes matchup well with either Ottawa or Toronto who are both going to be beat up by the time they get to Game 1 in NC

Listening to ESPN Radio they were just battering the Eastern Conference yesterday (before the game). They said all four team that were left were "terrible." They thought that whoever emerged from the East would be thoroughly trounced. I guess that's why they play the games, huh? Go Canes!

Granted, Detroit vs Hurricanes sounds like a mismatch but the Canes are playing great hockey, and nothing is for sure in this years playoffs.

So we could either get Detroit vs Toronto, which sounds totally oldschool, or we could get San Jose vs Hurricanes which, admit it sounds very WTF?!(if one wouldn't know the way both teams are playing right now)

Oh, it's a good time to be a Toronto and Calgary fan. I say the Flames are the hotter team. 10 straight games with at least a point, 18 points in that stretch. The Leafs have 16 points in their last 10 games, although they've won the last 8.
