Now, I wasn't expecting to see a skit like that at all, and I admit, I broke out laughing when he put the toothbrush in his own mouth after it was in the dog's. I've seen people say it's like the "Jackass" show, but I can't see that in Canada, so this is fresh to me. Is this going to be how Tommy Dreamer becomes a breakout character, or should he have just been left to wrestle decent matches on Heat each week? I'm willing to bet that a bunch of regular ECW watchers were throwing fits watching that.. or do you view it as a good thing, that he's finally being pushed with TV time on Raw?

Well, drinking out of a toilet got Al Green *so* over so yes, this may be Tommy Dreamer's time.

I haven't seen it yet, but I am sure it was funny.
Just as I am sure "this is NO WAY to treat a hardcore legend" (note the quatation marks, i am sure this is what some will yell..i don't agree)

The only thing that sort of bothers me is the feeling while reading the report on it.
'Oh great, another guy with a "I am loopy"gimmick'
Sure, comedy is the quickest way to someone's heart but to do it over and over and over and over again...I just don't know..

I don't think it's much of a stretch. I can see Tommy Dreamer doing this stuff on a daily basis.

Nobody Important Says:

Figures I'd miss Dreamer's first ever promo because of my Grandpa not relinquishing the TV. Damn Philipino news, Dreamer is setting up a money feud with Al Green and I want to be there!

I'm a Cruiserweight, how do you like that?

This could be the breakout role of Tommy Dreamer in the WWE. I can't wait for Raven's take on this gimmick.

I think it's a disgrace. it's one thing for heim to be a Heat jobber, but to make a man who at the age of 31 is nearly convalescent from bleeding and being broken for so long into Tom Green is just wrong. Only Andy Dick can pull off clowning Tom Green. I agree Dreamer should be on TV, but he's beaten to death. and gross comedy is not the way to go with a guy who has given so much to a few rabid violence marks ( I'm one of them.) Stasiak as Stiffler is funny, but Dreamer as a Jackass is pitiful.

First of all, Dreamer is emulating Johnny Knoxville, not Tom Green.

And this Jackass character is closer to the actual personality of Tom Laughlin than his ECW gimmicks are. Dreamer's a guy who likes to hang out with the boys. Why not throw pranks in while he's at it?

Now, I'm waiting for WWF^HE's homage to the Osbournes.

Point to Ponder: Sean Stasiak is a better wrestler, and has a better physique than the former WWF Champion he's vaguely parodying.

Bah. It's nice to see Heyman's loyal spear-carrier get a push, however brief it will be. He's been pretty good as a bump machine on the syndicated shows lately, so why not throw him and a Wacky Gimmick[tm] on the main program and see if anyone bites?

Dreamer simply can't do what he used to do best (i.e. bleed profusely) any more. He's physically beaten down, the promotion's going in a much more cartoony direction right now, and I can only imagine the sponsors' reaction to a visual of Dreamer licking a bloody cheese grater on a given Monday night. The Hardcore division would be a logical fit for him, obviously -- the walk-through-the-crowd-and-brawl-and-use-random-blunt-objects system pretty much matches his ECW career. We know what his mat wrestling looks like, so we won't go THERE.
As for the gimmick itself, it depends on how crazy they get with it. A little loopy goes a long way. If they keep away from the seriously gross stuff, they'll be fine.

Dreamer's only 31? That means he was probably 25 at the peak of ECW.
The Torch mentioned something about Dreamer eating food out of the garbage. I guess this gimmick is what Tommy Dreamer is.

That was indeed a good and unexpected skit. I never watched Dreamer until the night he showed up on WWF TV with Rob Van Dam, so I don't know his whole hardcore history, but I really like him for some reason. He has charisma. He has ability, and he's a funny sucker. I think he can get way over with the fans and become a major player on Raw. I'm all about seeing some new blood.

Dreamer, for an ECW show, banged his head against the lockerroom door, while doing an angry promo, after The Dudleys took out Beulah McGillicuddy with the 3D. He banged it very hard too, causing the door to bend. I wouldn't want to take a nutter from this guy.

I don't get it. Dreamer's so beat up he risks paralysis every time he steps in the ring, probably has the option of being a writer/road agent/other job where you don't risk paralysis, and is still willing to take a gimmick where he drinks from the toilet in order to maybe be the European Champ one day? I'm not sure if I should be impressed or question his sanity. Or both.

Yeah, I can just hear it now..... (& excuse me if I don't get this word for word, I'm just tryin' to capture the spirit)

"Bubbles? Oh, come on Linda! I'm Vince f**kin' McMahon, the Prince of Evil!"

But as for Dreamer, what's next? Cross promote a very special episode of "Jackass" with MTV/WW(make me puke)E?....

Just how is this gimmick going to sell tickets? Is Chris Leary going to be on Jakked saying "The RAW brand will be in Sheboygan this Saturday. The Undertaker will take on Stone Cold and if you go to the men's room at intermission, Tommy Dreamer will eat a urinal cake."

I don't get it, and I don't want to get it.

Pandas are People Too!!!Wah wah wah. Hey why don't you guys put on a pair of panties and cry about Tommy Dreamer?? He's got a nice WWF contract where he gets paid thousands of dollars to be filmed drinking water. Oh, poor Tommy. At least the guy isn't breaking his fucking back going through tables and landing on concrete.

Tommy doing the Jackass/CKY thing doesnt bother me.I think he was the one who came up with the idea so if thats the case let him do what he wants. I was pretty entertained by it to be honest.I think it could work in small doses..but you know that will never happen. It will either be overkill or never seen again.
