The Evolution model of stable could work well for guys like Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. Have them angry about not getting shots and stuff and band together with...shit, Umaga and AAE would work.
New Blood vs. Millionaires' Club, anyone?
"The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?"
I like the idea of putting Shelton in a stable with Edge & Orton, but I dont see Haas fitting in. I liked him during his first run, but he's bored me to tears during his 2nd go-round. [/fantasybookingwhichihate]
I also like the idea of Orton/Edge vs. DX, but not if DX is only going to bury them on the mic the whole time. I'm sure Edge can go to-to-toe with the HHH/HBK throwing shooty digs at each other, but I hate when HHH & HBK do that. It's bad enough to do in the ring, they dont need to come out & talk about it too.
But back to last night's show, I really enjoyed it. I watched the whole thing except for the main event, but it doesnt sound like I missed much. I dont know how anyone can hate on King Bookah. That gimmick is 100% solid gold everytime. And all of thine junketh in Sharmell's trunketh is nice to look at too.
When Mitch said he was going to have help and Flair wasn't, that was the signal Flair was going to have help. When Piper's music started playing, I was pissed as it appeared yet another opportunity for Arn Anderson to come out in Horsemen country was wasted. Then Dibiase and Rotundo come out, would have preferred Rotundo with his U.S. Express partner Barry Windham coming out to Real American, and you think a Horseman needs to finish it off. Then, the Enforcer comes out. To combine this with something else: You have Shelton Benjamin who can't talk. You have Arn Anderson who can talk and is over. Combine the 2. Very simple. The 3-way match is non-title, correct? With DX taking up most of the oxygen on RAW, there really wasn't anyone to face Cena. Edge has been done to death. Cena/Orton isn't that appealing. They aren't turning DX or Cena, so that is out the window. Next stop would be either Umaga or a turned Carlito, and that doesn't exactly get the cash register ringing. The main event depth isn't there any longer for Vince. I believe it is time for Kane to wander the Earth, only to walk up to the campfire that Nelson Royal has been sitting by for the past 2 decades. The Kane Cowboy or the Midnight Kane anyone?

Orton sucks and doesn't deserve this chance. What happened to all the Orton hate? Reading this thread leads me to believe he's loved now. Orton is going to bring Edge down.
Ive waited for years to hear the trotting start and the horsemen music blare over the speakers. Dear lord that gave me goosebumps!

Oh dont get me wrong, I still hate Orton. But I think teaming him up with Edge vs. DX is a good way to use him.

It was another WresleCrap "day job" gimmick. It worked out well overall, but c'mon...South Carolina...Horseman Country...ARN FUCKING ANDERSON coming out to the 4 Horseman theme. The people rising as one and flashing the only wrestling sign that still reasonates. Ross was dead on.
I got goosebumps.
No Johnny Come Lately am I! I have always loved IRS, I promise, and, in fact, even dressed up as him at Nitro once. Yes, Nitro -- we were dressing up as WWF gimmicks of current WCW wrestlers. Oh, come on, I was like 19. Which is, uh, probably still too old for that. Let's pretend I was 12. I remember rooting for IRS hardcore and being thrilled when he joined up with DiBiase because he was finally getting the push he deserved.
Meanwhile! I am completely and utterly alone in never having liked Arn Anderson. I thought he was a boring wrestler and probably the most overrated promo guy I've ever seen. Plus his look always said "tire salesman" to me more than "enforcer." I know, I know, you think he's awesome and so and and so forth, and that is your right, as it is the right of everyone who loves him, which is everyone period. But he just never did it for me.

I would rather see someone other than Orton in this feud, but he does make the most sense of wanting to destroy Triple H. Which sucks, but at least the WWE used some backstory and I've been bitching about that since forever.

remember, there was a time when some pudgy 5 foot guy could have ran with Goldberg's gimmick. It's just that times change (juice!)
King Bookah is awesome, Ive never been a big fan of Booker but the way he executes this gimmick is genius...so in conclusion, anyones negative opinion on this is wrong.
RVD cannot be de-overized
Shelton Benjamin needs a mouthpiece, and more exposure.
Well then. I missed Arn Anderson. Now I'm pissed. Can anyone tell me
A) Does RAW replay at all here in Canada during thelater week? B) Can anyone send me a copy via VHS or disc or something of the match?
To celebrate the passing of the Troll Amnesty (and for otherwise no reason at all), I present to you the very best of Trolling here on The W. This Troll Moment of the Week is brought to you by;
"aftershock14520" , who brought us such pieces as wisdom as: "I'm not in the position to defend this topic really, you know obviously, but it takes only common sense to realize that "hey... if world trade center 7 was imploded, and the twin towers looked like they were, maybe they were?" and you can get all the facts in the world to prove that wrong, but there is just so much more facts to just prove it right. Pwnd."
Guru Zim: "Did you just turn to "pwned" as a method of argument?"

See, that's the thing. It's not. Orton is best-used in situations where he can just act cocky and not say much because he really and truly lacks any kind of main-event level personality. In a real top-level feud, he's useless. Now that they've taken this direction, we're almost guaranteed to hear a series of "classic" Blandy Orton promos, which involve him saying one thing, three times, louder each time, but somehow without any more feeling. "The Legend Killer has had enough! HE'S HAD ENOUGH! HE HAS HAD ENOUGH!"
Raw wasn't bad, from what I saw. I missed the Triple H comment about the tag-division, but I saw the cock thing. I chuckled a couple times, but that kind of stuff doesn't work if you do it over and over. 40-year-old men are almost never cool, and it's just not going ever come off that way now, no matter what they do.
Taker coulda have sold something for Cena. Jesus Christ, Mark, your career is over. I'm not saying he shoulda tapped to the STFU or anything, but God almighty, it's not 1995 anymore. What exactly is he protecting at this point? He no-sold every one of Cena's punches and kicks, sat up immediately after every move, and shat on his signature move (5-knuckle shuffle), and then had him beaten before the run-in. I swear, Cena got more in during the Vengeance 2003 match, when he wasn't a top guy. At some point, someone needs to tell Taker to start being a team player. When's the last time he put someone over clean, 2002? Help out or fuck off, already, Taker.

The joys of the Score is that WWE Raw shows an hour after it finishes (after the Score Update) and then on the Tuesday at noon or so.
On the flipside of the border, does WWE repeat on the USA network?
No. But I know it replays on one of the Spanish channels here, at least where I live, on I think Sundays at 4PM. Have to double check the channel.
I get it on mun2 on Wednesday.
They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the internet. And again, the internet is not something you just dump something on. It's not a truck.

That's why he's paired with Edge, against two far stronger talkers. Orton's got shortcomings on the mic, but he's got three good-to-great promo guys to paper the cracks. It's better to see Orton in a feud with guys that can carry him promo-wise than to book him against, say, Jeff Hardy.
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow
