The Extreme Strip Poker game on ECW on Sci Fi WAS scored as a Specialty Match. However, because the game was continuously played but not always shown, appearance points were scored differently than a "normal" match in progress. Each Diva (Trinity, Kelly Kelly, Ashley, Kristal, Candice and Maria) and Balls Mahoney (the dealer) received sixe sets of appearance points (one set for each of the six segments). Each Diva also received Match and Specialty Match points; Balls DID NOT, as he was considered the dealer/referee and not actually able to win the match. Since there was no true winner determined thanks to the catfight between Maria and Candice, no one received Match Win and Specialty Match Win points. In total, all six Divas scored 26 points, with Balls scoring 18 as the dealer.
Call it sour grapes, but:
#1. WWE announces it as a specialty match AFTER the show aired. Would it have been so difficult putting it on the specialty matches list on the fantasy site ?
#2. How can they suddenly call it a "specialty match"? Wasn't it advertised all week as "Extreme Strip Poker".........NOT an "Extreme Strip Poker MATCH".
#3. If it was considered a specialty match, then how come divas were allowed to keep getting continuous appearance points after commercials, but regular wrestlers aren't allowed ? It was basically a continuous match just like other wrestling matches. If it's listed as a specialty match, then it should be scored like a match.
#4. >appearance points were scored differently than a "normal" match in progress<
They can't just go and change the rules like that. If it was a match (which they say it was), then the normal match point system should apply. Coming back and forth from a "match" shouldn't rack up appearance points. Now if this was scored as just a bunch of divas goofing around, then I could understand the multiple appearance points coming back from commercial......but they said it's being scored as a "specialty MATCH".
Ok.....I'm done venting. : )

To be fair they did announce that it would be scored as a specialty match sometime before Monday on the WWE Fantasy homepage. I know since that's why I drafted all six divas :)
Dude, it was on the fantasy home page, on Monday. And I KNOW it was in the ruling section Monday night, I checked my team after Raw, not knowing about the "We don't tally shit up until 4 tomorrow" thing.
I had a similiar rant last year after the second or third week. The whole reason I don't do this fantasy game anymore is because they made up rules as they went last time.
I think it was something like "ECW will not be counted, only Raw/Smackdown shows and ppvs" was posted Sunday and then next thing I know, they added the ECW roster sometime Monday afternoon and everyone who picked them went shooting up. Turns out they mentioned that one some pages but not on others.
I figure when they get their act together and figure out what the rules are to their own freakin' game, then I'll start up again. The whole "just when they think they know the answers, I change the questions" thing isn't so much fun when you're the one getting the questions changed on you.

>it was on the fantasy home page, on Monday.<
I have the fantasy login page bookmarked on my PC so that I can bypass the homepage and go straight to my roster. I always figured that if there was important match information, it would be posted in the match sub-categories on the roster page. I have no problem with them posting info on the homeapge, but at least also post it in the match info sub-categories that are purposely put there to give the fantasy owners that information.
>And I KNOW it was in the ruling section Monday night<
There is only one posting on the "ruling page", and it is the one I copied and pasted in my first posting. BTW, I checked that ruling page on Monday afternoon and there was nothing there.
At least Yang might show up to job. I got Carlito, he wasn't on Raw at all(aside from a quick comment about The Marine). Dat's not cool.
I'll make up a LOT of ground tonight, though: Lashley and Finley in the triple threat, and I'm sure Little Bastard will get involved somehow; Vito might show up to frighten Regal again, and hopefully MISTER Kennedy will kick someone's ass after his "win" at No Mercy.
Quick heads-up, straight from the fantasy homepage:
Due to SmackDown and RAW being held on Sunday, Oct. 15, rosters for Week 2 will lock on SUNDAY, OCT. 15 at 7 p.m. ET. Be sure to make your picks a day early!
So, how's everyone's Fantasy going? Me, not so great. I finished 216th in the world last week with 373 points, and that's about 210 spots lower than where I wanted to be. Damn Chris Benoit. If I'd only remembered to trade someone for him.
I'm ranked 373 currently but that will change once Smackdown scores come in. I had Jeff Hardy and Maria on my first draft week two rosrer at one point but I traded them for RVD and Striker. I'm glad I gambled on RVD and Striker is good for 11 points for Appearance, Match, and Specialty match points but Maria would have been a far better investment for the same $1.5 million as she won a specialty match.
As a public service announcement to help you Ws out, there are FOUR pay per views in Fantasy's ten week cycle.
Cyber Sunday Survivor Series December to Dismember Armageddon (which ends the game)
Veterans of Fantasy know PPVs are bonanzas for points if you draft wisely. PPVs make or break everything. Four PPVs in a cycle is unprecidented.
I'm doing better than expected. Cryme Tyme was a smart pickup, I had both Show and RVD this week, and now all I need is for his royal highness to retain, perferably with some Finleyference.
I'm doing much better than expected so far, drafting all six divas for the poker last week and Benoit meant that I was 17th worldwide last week. I'm not doing as well this week but Cryme Tyme and a good ECW means that I'm currently 48th worldwide.
-JeriTrish, LatinoShow on MadTV- Jericho, Trish, Eddie & BigShow are on MadTV next week, they will be talking to a Jay Leno character. Y2J flubs lines, also suggest something into a skit about John Kerry which the writers aggress to.
