These days, I'm really enjoying For Better or For Worse (fbofw.com). I like the way the characters mature and how serious issues are tackled.

I never enjoyed Garfield in any way, shape or form.

Get Fuzzy, which was stupidly taken out of my newspaper. The Boondocks was great too, and I like Foxtrot. I have to read all three of those online.

They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the internet. And again, the internet is not something you just dump something on. It's not a truck.

It's a series of tubes.

I'd call it a tossup between Frazz, Get Fuzzy, Zits, and Pearls Before Swine any given day. The current reruns of The Boondocks are reminding me how good it used to be before McGruder lost interest and wandered off to do the executive producer thing, too.

Generally, I read "Garfield" (though I've been a little lax on reading it lately), "Rubes" and "Dilbert" every day. They're on the same page as the jumble and crossword that I do, so I probably wouldn't go out of my way to read them if they weren't.

Usually, I read most of the comics page in our local paper, but I especially like Foxtrot (foxtrot.com), Day by Day (daybydaycartoon.com), Baby Blues (babyblues.com), Frazz (comics.com), and Zits.

Since it seems to be mandatory to mention how much you miss The Boondocks, I must say that I don't. In fact, I am ecstatic that it's no longer in regular production because it was never funny to me and was offensively racist far too often.

Dilbert, Zippy, Mallard Fillmore and (yes) Hi and Lois.

Ok, I like Beetle Baily too. Did you know Beetle is Lois's brother

Party foul on Mallard Fillmore. It really should be on our editorial page, but if Boondocks is D-U-N DONE, then maybe it'll hit the bricks too.

I'll read basically almost anything on the local paper's comics page, but I'll pay attention to For Better or For Worse, Boondocks, Foxtrot, Non Sequitur, Zits (dunno why, but hey), Dilbert (yeah, still), and Close to Home (not so much Funky Winkerbean, Baby Blues, or Gasoline Alley... I don't know why). We don't get Get Fuzzy, but I can't be bothered to seek it out on the Internets to read it (or pick up the Hartford Courant or... maybe the Register runs it too).

Girlfriend's also quite taken by Day to Day, and if the paper drops Mallard Fillmore, I wouldn't mind seeing that take its place at all.

Anyone getting Diesel Sweeties? Hear it's getting syndicated too.

I mourn Bloom County every time I see a comics page. I still miss it.

And I agree about For Better or Worse. While I haven't kept up with it, not getting the paper every day, I've always been impressed by the progress of the characters in a medium that's often so willing to be static.

Of current stuff, The Boondocks, even if it's never coming back, Big Top (anybody else get that?), and Foxtrot. I'm also always amused by the Spider-Man strip, just 'cause Stan Lee's dialogue always brings a smile to my face. Excelsior!

Foxtrot, Pearls Before Swine ("HELLO ZEEBA NEIGHBA!"), and surprisingly, Luann (I like her brother's subplot.) are my must reads. Get Fuzzy used to be, but it's just felt "off" for more than a year now.

I also enjoy Drabble, but I just can't understand why Wendy is such a fucking bitch to Norman.

I have Boondocks, Doonesbury and Foxtrot on my yahoo home page.
That's pretty much all I read every day. If I pick up a paper, I like local stuff like Trevor! (http://www.worldfamouscomics.com/trevor/) and Swamp (http://www.swamp.com.au)
whatever

I end up reading all my comics online at the Houston Chronicle comics site. They have a "build your own comics page" feature that is fantastic.

I have always loved reading the funny pages since I was a little kid. I really enjoyed Garfield for the first couple of years, but have since moved on.

Favorites that are gone but will never forgotten:
Calvin and Hobbes - possibly one of the best ever.
Bloom County

Until recently, I enjoyed Get Fuzzy quite a lot. Now, if pressed, I would have to say Dilbert and Pearls Before Swine are my favorites.

And I forgot to mention B.C. I always love that strip. It's kind of got that philosophical bent thing going on. With Dinosaurs

There are a few that I read every day:

For Better or Worse

Zits

Arlo and Janis - they're my age!

Foxtrot - the parents are my age, too!

Dilbert

My day doesn't begin correctly if I don't read the comics before I leave for work.

My kids love Garfield. Stupid kids.

Pearls Before Swine (as if that weren't already obvious)
Mutts
Get Fuzzy
Prince Valiant on Sundays

I read the Star Ledger comics section everyday and have found over the years that Houston, Dallas, Denver (if you combine the 2 papers) and Chicago have the best comics sections. The NY Post should be shot for their pathetic excuse of a comics section.

I don't read them often enough....

Favorite and one I go out of my way to read each day is Sherman's Lagoon... Always makes me smile at least, if not full out laughter.

Also Dilbert when I get the chance. So much of it reminds me of my office...

I would agree with whatever... Calvin and Hobbes is one of the best ever. I have 3 or 4 books of them, which my kids are now reading. I will lie down with my 9 year-old and read them over his shoulder...

For a while the News Tribune was running classic Calvin & Hobbes. Good times.

I read Dilbert, Zits, Stone Soup, Curtis, and the Boondocks in my daily whirl through the comics. I occassionally read Drabble, but not as much any more.

I only get Foxtrot on the weekends but I do read it whenever I get a News Tribune. I read the Seattle P-I during the week and Foxtrot is in the Times.

Hmm, I wonder what it would be...

As for current strips:
-Foxtrot
-Boondocks (too bad McGruder is giving up on the strip)
-Zits
-Non Sequitor
-Dilbert
-Frazz
-Doonesbury
-For Better or For Worse
-Opus (not as great as Bloom County, but still pretty good)
