Was I the only person watching last night's episode that just thought they were going through the motions? The scene with the daughter/friend shooting stood out as memorable, but I can't remember one thing that happened outside of that.

I'm still pumped about the last two hours, though. I didn't see the previews for next week, though. Could someone please fill me in so I can anxiously count down the days?

She's not being stupid at all. She's securing her own place in the White House. Whenever he tries to divorce her, she's got(or, is trying to get) evidence against him.

Hey, are we posting out thoughts on who the mole is? I've got an interesting idea, but I don't want to type it if it's going to piss people off.

But she's in WUUUUUV! And goddamnit, Palmer wasn't impressed with her ability to get a haircut in 5 minutes, so she's gotta find another way!

..Bah, I dunno. Maybe she's just stupid and easily manipulated :)

you can probably make a case for just about anyone, but i'd rather just wait and be surprised (hopefully). however, my most off-the-wall guess would be senator palmer...hearing him say he doesn't want to be linked to it (referring to the bauer situation?) made me suspicious why they included that since it would seem obvious he doesn't want to be linked to it. but then the whole idea of there being a hit on his life wouldn't make a whole lot of sense, unless there never was going to be one in the first place.

The hit on Palmer has seemed to take a back seat ever since the power plant incident, and that was before noon, I think. I guess he is too hard of a target, and maybe they are just too busy with Jack.

On a side note, have you noticed that the bad guys have cars stashed everywhere? They are extremely well financed, I guess, but man there are cars, SUVs, vans, all over the place.

Another random thought, do the other people at CTU do anything? Tony, Nina, and Mason seem to be doing all the work. Milo has disappeared, and there was that blond girl that talked to Tony last week, but the only information they can get about the Palmer assassination (their primary project) is directly from Jack.

I think it's Nina - maybe we find out how bad she really wants Jack? I could so see her knocking out the Wife and dragging her off to the meeting point around 10:55.

Either it'll be a minor character (Milo) or they're going to have do dance funky around some storyline issues - it doesn't look like there's been a clear plan.

I think Senator Palmer (who's kids have disappered in record time) will (or already has) figure out what his wife is up to this time - and we might end up with a pending divorce there. I think it's not enough time for them to try something else that could get wrapped up this season.

Next season gets announced this week for all the networks, so we'll know what's up with this show soon. I wouldn't mind this being the only season if it meant we'd get clean resolution to everything (I wonder if they knew when they were finishing up - maybe there are multiple endings?), which isn't that much promised when they have another season to go.

Jack's an idiot for thinking that taking a hostage would work. What did he really think would happen after they shot the warden? Maybe he needs more sleep.

Final episode should be fun to watch if everything comes together in the end.

I won't make any spoilers because I realize that not all the time zones have seen the show yet. But would someone please explain to me exactly why this person is the mole?

besides our conjectures here, i'm hoping we'll find out the "real" reason next week.

Marge: Mr. Scorpio, this house is almost too good for us. I keep expecting to get the bums rush.
Scorpio: We don't have bums in our town, Marge, and if we did, they wouldn't rush, they'd be allowed to go at their own pace.
