What name was JJJ's secretary in the credits? I coulda swore she was supposed to be Betty Brant. Since Dunst has already said the next Spidey Movie kicks off with her and Toby having different significant others, if that's Brant then she'll probably be it. Her and Pete did date...
According to IMDB, it was Elizabeth Banks. And yes, she is listed in the credits as "Miss Brant."
I'd rather have Peter with Gwen Stacy than Betty Brant.
Then I can write a washing bill in Babylonic cuneiform, And tell you every detail of Caractacus's uniform; In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral, I am the very model of a modern Major-General.
It's a story about repetition, though. It would be very appropriate for Harry, re-living the descent of his father and having learned from his mistakes, to again end up at the bridge... and succeed where Dad had failed.
Personally, I hope they do Gwen at some point, although it would probably make sense for it to be in Spidey 3, and just build up the necessary backstory in Spidey 2 while he faces a different villain.
One thing some friends and I were discussing is, which villains of Spideys are cool enough for a movie? Venom is cool, but his story is WAAAY more trouble than it is worth. Green Goblin 2 looks to be where they are going, but having a repeat villian would be kind of lame for part 2 and 3. Rhyno and Scorpion are good henchmen, but you can't build a movie around them. Electro...well, Electro is just kind of lame. Ditto for Doc Ock and Shocker. Kingpin is much more appropriate for Daredevil. The villian who would be awesome for a movie though is Kraven the Hunter. He has a neat little story that would easily fit into an hour and forty-five minutes. Anybody else have any other suggestions for who Spidey should face in 2 and 3? Not that it matters, but I'd still like to hear who everybody else thinks would be cool to see in a movie.

"Have you seen the yellow sign?"
I think that could be worked in though. Start the movie with Spidey taking out a couple of ham-n-eggers like Shocker, Mysterio, and Sandman. Show the papers talking about how no one can beat Spidey, and then enter Kraven. The only problem I can think of is that I can't think of anyone awesome enough to play the Hunter.
(There was a blink-as-you-miss it mention about Eddie Brock in the movie. Maybe they have this in mind. As for the story, cut out the Parker-symbote deal and just skip to it bonding with Brock.)
I'm sure if the franchise lasts long enough we'll see Venom, but I'd rather see them do other "older" Spidey villains first. My vote is for Doc Ock. He's always been my fave Spidey villain. I think that Spm3 will be Harry taking up the Hobgoblin mantle, so I'd like to see Doc Ock, Hobby, and then Kraven or Venom if they have to.
As for MJ, she was really 3 girls in one. There was a little Liz thrown in there too in my opinion.
The first movie was to have Doc Ock in it, but they opted for the Goblin instead. And in another foreshadowing moment, Peter got fired from his job with Dr. Connors a/k/a The Lizard. According to an interview with Kirsten Dunst, Doc Ock and the lIzard will both be in SM2.
Put my vote in for Electro. Just as long as they use the outfit he wore in Ultimate Spiderman and not the green and yellow lightning bolt motif he's better known for.
And anyone else think The Chameleon or Mysterio would make a good movie villian?

Heck is for people that don't believe in Gosh.
I had completely forgotten about The Lizard. He is a good choice for a movie villain. Mysterio has a cool concept, but I could never accept the fact that a special effects guy/stuntman could do any of the stuff that he did. Doc Ock just looks so lame. Maybe if they gave him a COMPLETE make-over he could work, but a fat guy w/ a bowl cut, John Lennon glasses and a green jumpsuit never seemed like a threat to me. I haven't seen Electro's new duds, but he always seemed really poorly developed, like they just wanted a guy who used electricity and didn't care enough to give him a decent story. Black Cat would be good too, more as a love interest/rival than a true threat though. Chameleon could be cool, but you would have to give him an idiot like Rhyno or Scorpion to do the grunt work.
Even if you dropped all the Secret Wars stuff, Venom would STILL be too difficult to do right. If the symbiote isn't from Secret Wars, where is it from? If it finds Brock without bonding with Spidey, why does it replicate Spidey's powers?
My vote (again, not like it matters) still goes to Kraven the Hunter, though The Lizard is now a close second.

"Have you seen the yellow sign?"
Not surprisingly, I've spent many days of the last week discussing movie casting. And boy, did I overhear a lot of it at Wizard World.
The story I'd love to see made, eventually, is Kraven's Last Hunt. OF course, the movie would have to be rated R or it would lose all effectiveness.
Villains I'd like to see: Mysterio, Chameleon, Electro, Kingpin (who of course is property of DD movie)
Villains I don't want to see: Doc Ock, Lizard, Scorpion, Hobgoblin (et al)
Villains I hate with a passion: Venom (et al), Rhino
As one of my friends said yesterday, Spider-Man's arch-enemy isn't Octavius or Osborne -- it's Jameson.
Then I can write a washing bill in Babylonic cuneiform, And tell you every detail of Caractacus's uniform; In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral, I am the very model of a modern Major-General.
I heard that Doc Ock would be the villian in part 2 with Mysterio, Scorpio, Shocker, and Rhyno making apperances as his henchmen.
I think they could do Green Goblin 2 for part 3 as Harry said that "someday he would get Spider-Man." meaning not at the moment.
Doc Ock would be the perfect villian. He is smart and evil which is what a villianous leader has to be. I really don't want to see the Hobgoblin because he sucks.
They could have KingPin team up with Harry Osbourne in part 3 to give him finance or something. Maybe Vemon and Spidey could team up.
And while we're on the subject of the movie, who thought it was funny when Peter Parker first tried to get the web to work by saying "Web on!" and then he tried several commands like "Shazzam?", "Web off", "Web power?" and those different hand signals? The entire audience was cracking up!
While I think a Daredevil movie would be the coolest thing ever (i'm a huge DD mark), the fact that they have this whole Spidey franchise going pretty much eliminates the idea of a Daredevil movie. Not only because of the whole "Marvel superhero oversturation" thing, but because they have such simlar settings (New York alleys and rooftops) I don't know how you make a DD movie original. Maybe have it be the whole Ninja war thing that I never understood.
Anyone know what ever happened to the Fantastic 4 movie that was supposed to happen?
I also think a Silver Surfer movie would rule. They have the effects now to make it realistic and not hoaky.
As it happens they are ALREADY shooting a Daredevil movie with Ben Affleck as DD,
Ah hell, I'll just copy from IMDB
Credited cast overview: Ben Affleck .... D.A. Matthew "Matt" Murdock Jennifer Garner .... Elektra Natchios Michael Clarke Duncan .... The Kingpin/Wilson Fisk Colin Farrell (I) .... Back in eighth grade, I remember reading an awesome story in our English book. It was about a boy who goes on some kind of quest. You think it's a tribal thing, until he begins to see skyscrapers and the George Washington Bridge and stuff.
