After last night my opinion is that Storm and Toby are the frontrunners, Lukas and Magni still have a shot, and Dilana is right out.
I don't like Lukas that much because to me he seems generic; he's mastered all the rock vocal cliches of the last 10 years, and he's got an appropriate look, but he doesn't grab me as a performer. I really enjoyed his take on "Living on a Prayer" at first, but then he played his original and it kind of sullied both songs for me.
Dilana pretty much ended the show for herself when she claimed she was a performer, not a songwriter. I know there are plenty of great bands where the singer is not the primary lyricist, but I don't suppose Supernova expect or want to be one of them. That, plus her recent behavior have turned me right off her after weeks where she was my pick to win.
Against my better judgement, I watched tonight, and it just wasn't the same. It felt like something was missing. But besides that, I've got to give the edge to Toby at this point, which means he's probably next to go. Nice to see Dave actually getting up and rocking out.
Could not stand Lukas, but that's just par for the course, and the sooner he goes the better.
I think Toby rose to the head of the class tonight. Like the guys said, he had the audience singing his original with him & that can't be overlooked.
I hated Lukas doing the Bon Jovi song. I liked the idea of it, but his execution was horrid. And on his original, he sounded like Cookie Monster with a mouthful of marbles.
I have to agree with Toby becoming the front-runner... I think he's the kinda of guy the band will enjoy hanging with. He's easy-going and is not as pretentious as Lucas.
This season has bugged me in that they've really tried to put more "reality" into the "reality TV show". The whole Dilana drama seemed to be a massive focus, and now the poor lady tears her calf muscle.
I cringed during Lukas' cover of "Livin' On A Prayer", but his original song rocked, as did those of Storm and Toby. I still don't get Magni-he's a good singer, but his stage presence bores me.
Great performances both last night and tonight in the elimination show. In a way, I'm sad to see Storm and her wonderful breasts go, but I really couldn't picture her fronting that band.
Pretty decent final four. You've got an Australian, an Icelander(?), a South African, and a Canadian vying to front an American rock band. It looks like the momentum is certainly with Toby, but anything can happen-it looks like there's one more round of voting on Tuesday.
I only saw Storm's original, Lukas and Toby perform. From that Toby was far and away the best. He slips into cliches a bit too, like the "sing it for me" bit, but that's a personal pet hate. But his cover was solid and recognisable and his original rocked. For him to maintain composure as well as he did with Tommy playing with his arse was pretty impressive. Lukas doing Bon Jovi was HORRIBLE. His original was only slightly better. Storm, yes, she's got a great body.
Last night's final performance show didn't really do much to solidify one standout, except maybe for the returning Ryan Star, who did a great job with his cameo performance at the beginning of the show. I'm still thinking it's between Toby and Lukas.
Nice to see Paula Abdul checking out some talent from the audience.
I gotta agree with Goon. I think Toby & Lukas probably rose to the top last night (if they weren't there already). But I must admit, I really did dig Dilana's version of "Roxanne".
On another Supernova note, looks like Tommy, Gilby, Jason & Singer X may have to change their band name (mtv.com).
Hmmm, looks like the reporter who leaked this and was subsequently slammed by Tommy Lee who insisted they hadn't picked Lukas.... might have been correct after all. Not that anyone cares. This show lost a lot of steam toward the end.
I just don't understand the end. I can't see how Dilana is totally safe from losing outright. People must see something I'm totally missing. I thought Toby was the best out of the last 3 on the night and has been the best in the last month. I can't stand the way Lucas sings half the time. He doesn't seem to finish his words off, almost like he knows the melody, but isn't 100% sure of the words, so he makes sounds that are almost words that have the right melody. He uses this style way too often for him to be actually lost, but it annoys the crap outta me. I also think he's the biggest poser of the lot. Dilana, well, her review package said it all I thought. Started out good, slagged everyone off then fell to pieces. She only has 2 styles, crazy woman and power ballad, neither of which I think she does well.

I have no problem the Doctor killing as I know the Doctor has killed in the past, but the big difference was that in this ep Matt Smith basically acted like John Cena by being smug and making jokes in what should have been a serious scene.
