Jeff Hardy gets an IC shot? I'm going to say I'm in the middle about it. I'd rather see Carlito or Shelton.

The McMahon beat down should have been done differently. They should have had wrestlers do the camera and coax cable choking with the McMahons directing the action like good managers do. I kept thinking of the good ol' days when managers used to direct their evil crazy wrestlers to do those types of things. Stan Hansen (or Regal and Finley) should have been in there.

Edge brings out Masters to face Cena? This just made Edge look stupid. The beat down made Edge look cool though. I hope Edge does win the TLC match and Cena gets sent to SD because it'll be an EVIL heel thing for Edge to do.

I'm worried he's going to lose though because... well because I could see them doing this for some reason.

Just a quick correction -- Edge didn't bring out Masters to face Cena. That was Shane McMahon's doing.

I missed the first half, and I was only half paying attention to Melina & Nitro, which did seem to go on forever. Is it just me, or does Eugene look more out of shape and sloppy than Hacksaw? That's just sad. Umaga, eh. I do have to admit, I liked the beatdown of DX at the end. Watching Vince wail away at HHH's head like that made me wince. And they had the right camera angle on Shane's pipe shot, it looked impressive to me.

Meaning that Vince actually loves POUNDING COCK!

(Why they didn't hire me is beyond my comprehension.)

Count me in as enjoying the show for the cameos (HEY!) and little else.

Shouldn't they have someone in Louisville who does nothing but teach green kids how to cut promos? Guys like Nitro and Masters wouldn't get cast in my old high school plays. I don't think it's coincidence that the only people lately who've graduated OVW and gotten over could talk.

This is hardly news, but it really stood out for me last night.

B'Gawd, King - Umaga giving Jim Duggan the Samoan Spike made the 9/11 attacks seem like a fender-bender. Jon-Benet Ramsey is lucky she did not live to see this. His actions here tonight were worse than a dozen Holocausts. He just made the Lincoln assassination look like a b'gawd peanut.

I mean, b'gawd.

I may be a little dense here but...

Are you making that comment in the same spirit as the original poster or is it actually an "official" news item/rumour that Cena is going to Smackdown?

Another stipulation of the match is if Cena loses to Edge, he will leave Raw and go to Smackdwon

Cena will never leave Raw, he should have been on that show all along. Whether we like it or not. His charecter is just more suited for Raw.
I only saw a little of the show, but how sad was it to see DX beat down in such a bloody manner by a 60 yr old geezer and his prissy ass son?

Cena going to Smackdown would make a lot of sense what with the CW debut coming up.

I agree with you in that aspect ... but having him lose to Edge again & being sent to the B-show makes him look like a chump. Cena's going to be the face of the WWE for a few years to come & with a movie coming out, he's probably set on the USA network for awhile.

I suspect that the TLC match won't be the blowoff to the Cena./Edge feud. I am counting on a screwball finish, like a DQ, double pin or double DQ or something like that, so it puts the title status up in the air. Cena goes to SD!, but takes his share of the title with him, and Edge has to follow him to continue the feud there. That gets some additional star power on SD!, and lets them milk the feud a bit more.

All in all, it's been a pretty good rivalry, and it has done a lot to solidify Edge as a main event player.

I didn't think the rest of what I saw on Raw was nearly as bad as what everyone else seemed to think. I agree it wasn't exactly four star matches, and the crowd didn't come across as all that interested in anything, especially the divas. But, for the price of cable TV, on a night with not much else to watch, it was still okay entertainment.

Brian, why didn't they hire you? Was it that pesky drug test? Or was it the fact that you told them your favorite wrestling episode was Katie Vick?

Matt, I totally agree with you on the Big Show. He has been steadily giving his all for the past several months - it helps when they use him correctly. He always seems to perform better when he's motivated, and having a title seems to help him a lot.

Considering Pearl Harbor has been an accepted wrestling term for at least 2 generations, it shouldn't be shocking.
As for the holocaust: If you consider German Death Camps to be the same as concentration camps, then the holocaust has been fair game since at least the 1960's in terms of wrestlers discussing where they developed the Iron Claw.

What faces are left for Booker to feud with on Smackdown? Undertaker? Batista? Lashley? Boogeyman (left as a face)? Tatanka?
I think Smackdown may actually need Cena. It's actually cool SD actaully needs him and in the story line they're offering him a contract.
Edge appears to be getting a HHH like push and I wouldn't be suprised if he beat Cena.

Probably for the same reason he hasn't tried barring them from the building since they commandeered the production truck--the further they are beyond his authority the more trouble they can cause. If he fired them they'd just buy front-row tickets to the next Raw and hold "VINCE <3 COCKS" signs all night.

On a more subtle level, I think Vince needs the validation of breaking down guys like DX and forcing them to be the kind of subservient employees he wants. Firing them would be admitting that there's someone out there he can't control. (Granted, Vince is always firing guys like JR and Mick Foley, but they don't present the sort of challenge to his authority that Austin or DX do.)

In a way it's like a kayfabed version of Vince's frustrated efforts to get Bret to do one last Montreal angle. He knows that once you're off the payroll, you can refuse to participate in whatever sick matches he dreams up, so he can't fire you until he's completely finished with you. The interesting touch with this version of DX is that they're savvy enough to know this (whereas Austin simply didn't care), so they can get away with whatever they like as long as they can get through Vince's attempts at revenge.

Question is:

Will we see another BIG bump during that Hell in a cell match? And if so: Who will take it?

Iīd say: Shane! (Just look at Summerslam 00 or Backlash 01)

It sure wonīt be Big Show or Triple H!

Shawn could only take a "little" bump like he did in that first ever Hiac match!

Last but not least: Vince? ... you never know! Heīs a sick man!

Wait, a DQ or pinfall in a TLC match? How does that work?

To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

The only possible disputed finish in a TLC match would have to either be
a) the ladder breaks in half and there is no other
or
b) both wrestlers grab the belt at the same time and hit the mat while both of them still hold it!

By the way: Just in case Cena is really going back (!) to SmackDown, could one of the reasons be that he was totally over back then on Smackdown and now somebody behind the scenes is thinking "Maybe the RAW fans turned on Cena, but the SmackDown fans always loved that guy!"?
