Comcast in my area just added WWE 24/7 to their OnDemand lineup. Has anyone subscribed to this, and if so, is it worth getting? All that I see being promoted are documentaries and such; do they also show actual matches?
It is ABSOLUTELY worth the price. I have had it for about a year now. The old Raws and Nitros are worth the price alone. But they also show old house shows from the 70s and 80s that are pretty sweet too. About 6 months ago, they started showing the new PPVs about the same time that they come out on DVD, but they have always shown the classic PPVs, uncut. Well worth your money, especially if you are down on the current product, as I am.

Ordered it from Comcast yesterday. $7.99/month for what looks like between 25-35 hours of programming each month. (wild guess, but possibly more)
Newer PPV's are shown 3 months after original airdate. (Judgment Day 2006 is the current one) Next month, ECW ONS II and Vengeance are on deck. Also on deck for Sept. is the first ECW Barely Legal and the Hall of Fame ceremony from WM in Chicago. (Bret, Eddie, etc.)
Check out the link Jackson provided above for the full lineup. Totally worth it, just for the PPV's alone.
other than the scratch logo being blurred, and a few songs being dubbed over (especially for ECW shows) there is little editing, if any, that I can tell.

Nothing major that I've seen yet. On the old Nitro footage from 96, they even included the promos for WCW Saturday night on TBS and the original Glacier vignettes.
The Bulldogs/Demos match is about 25 minutes, and is a great old school tag match. JYD-Andre is about as good as you would expect it to be. That is to say, god awful. Also showing right now is the old WWF World Your 92 Coliseum tape, which features a WWF Title match between Macho Man and Shawn Michaels.

No editing? Well im guessing its safe to assume that any match that Jessie "The Body" called will NEVER be on this channel then. Well there goes 75% of my childhood.

no, there is plenty of Jessie on 24/7, including SNME, Wrestlemanias, classic house shows (wrestling and commentary) and appearances on TNT. It is only the DVDs that he had been edited out of previously, although he is on the Wrestlmania box set.

I really didn't think JYD/Andre was going to be good. I've just never seen them in a match with each other. Also on Toronto 84 show they have a (I'm guessing) early British Bulldogs match. They didn't even have the Bulldogs name yet.

The worst part of the Andre/JYD match is the sheer amount of stalling in the beginning. It seemed like 20 mins of shit before the match started. I did find the weird corner camera angle for that Paris show a bit neat though.
I agree that at that time, Andre-JYD was a big name match up. On the Toronto '84 card, with as yet unnamed Bulldogs team, the main even is Andre vs Kamala in a cage. While Andre could still kind of go at this point, this one was also about as good as you would expect.

What happened at the start of that JYD/Andre match? Andre started to come out and then just turned back around that was just weird. And the Bulldogs/Demolition match was good but the ending was kinda weird. Didn't even see the 3 count. The Primetime opening is awesome with some guy just getting destroyed by a Rude Awakening.
And is just me or is the Monday Night War stuff just surreal to watch ?
It was probably just a tactic to stall for Andre, who was so deteriorated at this point. And yeah, the ending of the Demos/Bulldogs match was missed by the camera, which hurt it I thought. The NWO stuff on the Monday Night War is a great trip down memory lane. The sad part is, there is not much difference in what we see nowadays than what we saw back then. Think about that, then compare 1996 wrestling to 1986 and the progression that was made. The wheel DEFINITELY needs to be reinvented.

It ain't just you. Are you crazy? The Edge one is PERFECT with that evil smirk. It captures his on-air personality perfectly and, from my point of view, made him easily the most recognizable of the bunch.
