Well, that was...underwhelming. I was expecting some huge cliffhanger because of the mini-season we get in January. Instead we get an uncomfortable silence around the Christmas tree.
I really loved this season, but this finale was just kinda boring.
Thank God Big Love delivered on all fronts. Their finale was amazing.
I know we had to wait forever for this season, but maybe they should have held off on these episodes until late 2006. That way, they could have all the remaining episodes uninterrupted (assuming it is true they will return in Jan.). Plus, that way, they wouldn't have a Xmas show in June!
Okay, we never saw the body, fair enough. But why would Sil do that? As far as I can tell, he's the only guy who's completely loyal to Tony (Chris is already blabbing secrets about the mob to an outsider, Paulie's only in it for himself, etc.), so I would assume that if he was given an order, he'd carry it out, regardless of personal feelings. Plus, she's a rat, which is lower than a dog to these people.
I realize there's some room for speculation, but I can't see a way they could do this that wouldn't be horribly, horribly contrived.
Let's not forget that this isn't Lost or 24. This show really doesn't work on a swerve scale like those shows do.
Pauly had the line of the night about the stipper in the Santa hat. Chris off the wagon can only mean bad things. It's how Big Pussy and Aid both went down.
You know, this season started off sooooooooooooo good and then...nothing...happened...and...things...just...kept...dragging...on. Seriously. RESOLVE SOMETHING ALREADY!
Although I'd have to say line of the night was Little Carmine: "Your brother, whatever happened there."

I believe it was confirmed on the season 5 dvd that Ade is really dead. Either Chase or Drea mentioned it, from what I remember.

I thought the opposite, it started pretty slow. The episodes with Tony in the hospital made me feel like I was in the waiting room of a real hospital. They had chances to have another character like Sid or Paulie step up, but they didn't follow up.
I thought the finale and the episode with Artie and Chris going to Hollywood were the strongest. It would've been better if they had focused the season more on Julianna Margoles and less on Johnnycakes.
I can't disagree with this post. I've been a loyal Chuck watcher since Episode 1, and I've really enjoyed its combination of comedy and action. This final season, however, has been quite bad.
