Spoiler Alert!!! I heard from a friend who has a friend that works with the WWE that the new RAW GM is Bret Hart. The storyline is going to involve Vince arguing with Shawn in the ring, he introduces Bret Hart, and for the next few months Bret will make Shawn Micheals's life a living hell. It's just going to be a continuation of the Vince/Shawn feud.

I wouldn't put it past Vince to simply name himself the new General Manager of RAW, but...
Shane McMahon would probably be the #1 candidate in my book, followed by Stephanie McMahon, Jonathan Coachman and Chris Nowitzki. I figure he'll want someone in the position whom he can control.

Well, Steph is heavily pregnant so I can't see her taking a new role onl to vanish for six months a coupla weeks later. And JBL is running an angle on WWE.com where he sues Teddy Long to get back onto SmackDown, so his appointment seems unlikely. I say Dusty. Some people are GREATLY underestimating how popular and well-known the guy is, and he's got his DVD out soon.
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow
Since the whole JBL angle on WWE.com leans towards him staying on Smackdown after he heals up, I'd have to go with the Coach as the new RAW GM. He's a guy that can take great bumps when necessary ...
But my heart wants it to be Bischoff ... Bischoff vs. DX is money ...

I also want it to be Bischoff. I don't care if it makes no sense. Bischoff was great in that role.
Does anyone know what Bischoff's been up to since he was taken off TV? Is he working in any role for the company?
Does anyone else feel like they bent over to take it up the ass for Vince? I hate when they advertise and they literally put out a press release like I got in my email to tune into RAW tonight(Monday) to see a new GM for RAW announced. I didn't see a new GM announced and a assistant doesn't count. HOSED! I FEEL HOSED!
So is there any backstage story on why a new GM wasn't announced ?
Perhaps contract negotiations fell thru with whoever was to be the GM ?
If Coach was the planned announcement all along, then why not just go and make him the new GM ? Why go through the bother of pissing viewers off unless perhaps the initial GM plans fell thru at the last minute.

Well if you listen to the promo Vinne Mac cuts on RAW he acted like he didn't even know about a GM. He says something like "I guess I was supposed to announce a GM, but Im not going to". Seemed like a last second improv to me. But who knows with WWE.

I believe there was an article either in WWE magazine or on WWE.com saying that 'Taker took the name "Kane" as his ring name to honor his lost brother, but later dropped it.
