I am now throwing my votes to Elliot. I hate Taylor (even though he has a good voice) and Kat is a bitch. I am sure we will see her in some B movie or Playboy in a year or two.

Well, seeing as Kat is always smiling and having a good time and always wears long dresses or jeans it seems like you just hate women and are mad that a man was eliminated instead of the woman.

Your Playboy comment would make sense if she always wore short skirts and tops that showed her breasts. And your Bitch comment would make more sense if she was always scowling and making nasty comments about the other contestants.

I dunno, depends what he's going on. I've thought for a long while she has a very snobbish air about her, though I wouldn't go so far as to call her a bitch.

From reading the online gossip, pretty much everything says she's not the greatest to be around. Polite people involved in the show (ex-contestants) tend to just not say much about her, especially compared with the praise they give others. The word "diva" has been thrown around supposedly by backstage helpers. And of course this is all 100% true cause I read it on random Internet sites.

She has worn several revealing tops, that's for sure. I don't see her a Playboy type though. I get the impression she would consider herself above those types.

Anyway I shouldn't get involved in this random speculation of someone I don't know, I'm still just pissy she survived another round that she REALLY didn't deserve to.

Read today that Fuel will renew their offer to Chris on Extra. And that Countdown will take a break from making OReilly look stupid to run a story that says he was "voted off" due to him breaking a rule or somesuch.

Did anyone catch EXTRA today?

Some group was supposed to come on and offer Chris a spot in the group. I was wondering what group it was.

I've read that it'd be either Live or Sugar Ray... it being Extra, Sugar Ray seems the more likely guess.

It was Live Fuel.

There was a quick segment at the beginning of the show. The drummer threw in a quip about not being forced to sing Elvis songs.

Live is looking for a new singer? I just saw them last year. Did I miss something since then?

It was Fuel, not Live. Sorry for the mix up.

Here's the link to the Extra (extratv.warnerbros.com) footage in which Carl Bell (guitarist) & Jeff Abercrombie (bassist) of Fuel make the offer to Chris. It almost seems like they've been in contact prior to Chris's AI exit.

They've been in contact for a while; they first extended the offer a few weeks ago.

Funny you should say this... you do know she's a Scientologist, right?

I wonder if this was why Simon was back-peddaling on his critique of her horrible performance.

Personally I always thought due to Katharine's actual training she just had more confidence on stage than anyone, not arrogance and confidence is a good thing. But it's hard to tell without ever meeting her.

So if Chris is going to be in Fuel, what happened to Brett Scallions, the former lead singer? I went to the Fuel website, and they only confirmed that Brett was gone. What's the real story with Scallions leaving? Rehab?

Oh, and on topic, Chris leaving is awful. If Taylor Hicks wins this contest, I smell a more Fantasia-like music career than Kelly Clarkson-like success story.

Scallions is playing bass for a couple of bands, the X's & Circus Diablo (which features the Cult guitarist Billy Duffy).

I've also found Catherine to be very snooty on-stage. Not during performances - some of which I've really been impressed by. Rather, when the judges are making comments, anytime she encounters a negative comment, you see another side to the nice and bubbly girl who she tries to be when she's getting positive feedback. Dare I say, you see a bitch - she definitely needs to learn how to take criticism better if she wants to make it in the music industry. For this reason alone, I find her reactions to be very fake and contrived - not to say Taylor's are any better.
Of the three left, she looks the most like a superstar, but has screwed up three times total in the last three weeks that I've noticed.

Go Elliot... even though we all know you won't get the votes.

I'll look for the site, but it's been 'reported' by a hairdresser for the show that McPhee's been leaving pamphlets around backstage and that she's bragged about having 'an army of callers' voting for her.

It's probably the same people who have been going around different cities and buying hundreds of tickets to MI:3 showings for Tom. Yes, this is true.

Song spoilers for tonight that are for once, mostly, confirmed. I think. So I'm told. Really.

Oh hell what the fuck do I know. Here you go anyway:

Chosen by Clive
Elliott Yamin: "Open Arms" by Journey
Taylor Hicks: "Dancing in the Dark" by Bruce Springsteen
Katharine McPhee: "I Believe I Can Fly" by R. Kelly

Judges choice
Randy Jackson chose for Taylor Hicks: "You are so Beautiful" by Joe Cocker
Paula Abdul chose for Elliott Yamin: "What You Won't Do For Love" by Bobby Caldwell
Simon Cowell chose for Katharine McPhee: "Over the Rainbow" by Judy Garland and many others.

Chosen by contestant
Taylor Hicks - "Try a Little Tenderness" by Otis Redding

Hmm, I'm not really sure about either of those Kat choices. Over the Rainbow may work if she doesn't go crazy with it. The other one I don't think is a good choice at all, but we'll see. No word on her peronal choice but hopefully it's something more up tempo.

Elliott doing Journey? Ok then.

Taylor well he'll be Taylor. Only one real chance to go crazy with the annoying dancing though so that's good.

They're obviously trying to sabotage Kat with those song choices. Jeez.
