I am not particularly a fan of the Suns, but they just got totally jobbed by the referees.

Steve Nash is dribbling downcourt, is absolutely hammered by two Lakers, while he's trying to call time out and then referee calls a jump ball?

One of the worst calls I have seen ever. Ever.

And then The Rapist hits a shot at the buzzer to win it. Jackass should be in jail.

This game proves that Showtime! may be dead, but the Lakers will somehow always live on.

Say what you will about Kobe, but the Lakers absolutely earned this one. Just the fact that they even managed forced this game into OT at all was amazing in itself.

I'm just happy Kobe actually MADE a game-winner for once. Haven't seen much of that during the regular season.

On another note, I'm convinced that Tim Thomas has been abducted by aliens, because the real Tim Thomas isn't THAT good, is he?

Almost as bad as not calling Walton for the grab on the last play in regulation?

Of course, they never call fouls on the last play in regulation, so it's not like that one was a surprise, at least.

Of course (2) that was about the worst time for Diaw to miss a free throw. Who would have thought that 13-15 wouldn't cut it for the Suns?

I was only able to watch the first half, so I can not comment on on the fouls/non-fouls pieman & CRZ were crying about mentioned.

However, w0000000000000000000t~!!!!!1!!1

Clippers here we come! Can we call it the "Hallway Series"?

You know in the old days, you could respect the Lakers with Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Gail Goodrich, etc. Even with Kareem, Magic, Worthy, Wilkes, you had to respect them.

These Lakers? Not even a little. I have such disdain for Bryant. He is classless.

#1: Is your hatred for Kobe the only thing keeping you from respecting the rest of the team, or have the other guys earned your hatred on their own as well?

#2: Other than the whole rape thing, what other things about Kobe cause you to hate him so?

#3: I'm just curious. You know I still love you.

You know, maybe if you HAD watched the end of the game, I could take your "opinion" more seriously, but the fact that you have ANOTHER non-call in your header sorta gives away that you're probably not to be taken seriously in any event.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! How did THAT happen?

I only watched the last three minutes of regulation and OT. Yes, Walton should've been called for a foul. Yes, the Nash no-call was bogus. Yes, the Suns gave away the game as much as the refs stole it. Yes, Kobe's shot to tie at the end of regulation was INCREDIBLE.

I screamed so loud for a foul at the end of overtime that my wife thought I had hurt myself somehow.

The Suns just could not hit the extra bucket to put them away, and let the Lakers hang around.

Yes, Walton held on the final play in regulation, and Nash got mugged while both him and Diaw called for a timeout, but after watching all season how the quality of officiating has gone down the toilet, you can just never let a game come down to where a ref can play a roll.

That is the one thing the Suns have struggled with all year. They have not won a single game that was decided by 3 points or less.

Nash was pretty diplomatic after the game, but I believe we are going to see a rout by the Suns on Tuesday night.

While I am a Laker fan, I absolutely understand the Laker hate, so I won't defend them. And I wouldn't shed one tear if Kobe went somewhere else. I'm pretending that the Kevin Garnett rumor I keep hearing is actually true...

That was about the most exciting 11 minutes of basketball I've ever seen. I honestly thought the Suns outplayed the Lakers on almost every level, and it's just unbelievable that the Lakers walked away with that win - just one lucky break after another.

I understood the Shaq-Kobe Laker hate of yesteryear, and I certainly understand most of today's Kobe hate, but I dont understand why anyone hates the rest of the Lakers now.

If Kobe keeps playing team basketball like he has been for the last couple weeks, then I dont want Kobe going anywhere else. Truth be told, I dont want him to leave at all either way. Actually, everybody keeps saying that we need to sign another superstar for the Lakers to be good again, but I disagree. Again, as long as Kobe keeps sharing the ball like he has been, we really only need a couple new pieces here and there to be contenders again.

The (non) calls had nothing to do with them losing that game. Nash slipped at the end of regulation (he even admitted to it) and Kobe made a nice basket at the end. In OT, Nash should have never dribbled into double coverage. This guys is the (supposed) MVP of the league and for him to get into that position was inexcusable. Plus they STILL had a chance to win and they didn't even force Kobe to take that hard of a shot (a shot for a talent like him is pretty routine).

Java is right. In any sport, you can't rely on the reffeeing to 'save' you or to help you win the game. No matter what you might thing of NBA refs (and I think they are TERRIBLE), the Suns lost that game because of their own mistakes and Kobe morphing in to Chauncey Billups (Mr. Big Shot).

I love the Suns as much as anyone, but Wednesday night's game is a classic "Dead Man Walking" game. (see also: Red Sox-Mets Game 7 1986, Cardinals-Royals Game 7 1985, Red Sox-Angels Game 7 1986, Knicks-Bills Game 6 1993)

The Suns got their hearts ripped out (just like me) yesterday. Let's hope Amare rehabs well for next year and we determine what bigs can stay healthy and grab some rebounds.

I know it seems like a "Dead Man Walking" game... but I just have a hunch (Suns 107 Lakers 92).

We just need to invite Paul Westphal over to make another prediction, like he did in 1993!

Also, the game is tomorrow night (just so you don't miss it).

Now THAT was an awesome moment. "We're gonna win the series. And everyone will be talking about what an awesome series it was."

Dan Majerle's shot over Worthy (from almost the same spot and the same setup, off two dribbles as Kobe's from Sunday) is one of the great hidden moments in Suns history.

Pretty close prediction!

We'll have a Game Six after all.

Nice to see Kobe taking Kwame under his wing, too.

Thanks, I would predict the next game, but need to see if Mr. Bell is suspended for his takedown of Kobe. But, what the hell, Suns 94, Lakers 91 (can you tell I am a Suns fan?)

Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs knock off the UCONN Huskies in a barn burner in Overtime. Probably the most exciting women's game ever. That streak was incredible. Now on to the finals!
